I picked him @ 9 with a view to him switching to 7 when Higham comes on, with Ryan being spelled on the bench. These different half back combinations will give us variety that the opposition will find difficult. He switched regularly between 9&7 in the same game when playing at Cas, with great success.

Without seeing how players are doing in training, I wouldn't have played rangi at full back at batley, I would have chosen pownall & brierley before him. in the answer to your question, yes he 'ripped us apart' in the 2nd half at salford, and i would only ever play him at 6 or maybe 7.

Spot on! Chase was one of the best halfbacks in Super League. He's pure talent on his day.

Rangi Chase at 6 every time and Brierley at 7. Ridyard will have to fight for his place. It isn't rocket science.

I can't believe some of the comments about playing Chase out of position to fit in with Brierley and Ridyard.

Theo Fages had to take 2nd place behind him at Salford and Fages is much better than both Brierley and Ridyard.

The coach should pick his best team and if someone is left out they fight for there place. Even the most loyal players eventually become surplus to requirements or second choice.
