So long as off the field we build (Not just carry on) in community, with brand increase and general overall making the club bigger and we continue to be managed well then we should be ok.
Can understand anyone getting giddy about SL (and why not - sport is about hoping for the best for the club you follow) but lets just enjoy the week to week stuff as next year we won't be the biggest fish in the pond and a few of those other clubs are looking tidy outfits as well.
However I'll take a lot of positivity over the 'will we have a team to start the season' we've had too many times in our recent history........can't wait for the season

Opinions are good, my opinion is that you are getting a bit giddy. As things stand my opinion is that I will gladly take 5th of the middle 8 at this stage.

It is attendances that underpin most of your income streams, the best supported clubs tend to sell the biggest sponsirship deals, the most merchandise and so on

Last season our attendances jumped back up to their ' normal ' level, the next stage is to break the 3,000 , which we might well do, but we need the club to drive the increases, not just necessarily the competition we are in

Is it easier to build a support base when winning in a lower comp, than struggling in a higher one?

While we do seem more organised than in the past, we have never had the level of central funding to play with that we have next year, it is that primarily that gives Dereck the opportunity to try and fulfil his and our dreams for Leigh Centurions, I sincerely hope it works for him

Shoot for the stars and if you miss you'll end up on the moon? Astronomically speaking the odds of that are well..er...astronomical. more likely you would end up going round in circles in orbit for a very, very long time.

Besides, who wants to be on the moon anyway? If you want to visit a vast, inhospitable and barren terrain, then Odsal is a lot closer, you know.

It never ceases to amaze me how we never seem to be able to completely get away from negativety on this forum.Mish, I do not know you personaly,and you are certainly entitled to your opinion,but during last season on here you were so positive of where this club was going and what the BOM was doing so I am not sure what is changing your mind,if anything is.Everyone on here was trying to encourage the lapsed fans to come back to the club and support them and forget about who or what was stopping them,but mish you seem at the moment to be one of them.I don't doubt for one minute you would stop supporting the team,but I cant understand why you are being slightly negative towards the people who are running the club.Look forward to another great season and lets enjoy the ride.

Ultimatly its bums on seats that is the most important long term income stream for any sports club looking to susstain itself

I wouldn't get too hung about sustainability, yes perfect in a perfect world but out if interest how many sporting clubs are sustainable in the UK??
