two good sides and im sure one or both will have some say in the play offs. Batley had a terrible spell a few weeks ago losing to teams at home such as Workington, Doncaster, and Whitehaven away....games you would have expected them to win.....all in the dying seconds of the game and at Halifax last week with the final play.....they could be 7 or 8 points better off just with those and they would be up there challenging....my only worry is can they be consistant in the play offs and show that intensity away from home against potentially 2 or 3 teams above them...?? last night they dominated the Leigh pack which is no mean feat and that is an area where Leigh generally dominate teams......one last thing from what I saw of that cowardly incident involving the 'germ' McNally, I would be surprised if he plays again this season....

I thought he did have plenty of try's for 40/20's....they just stayed in the field of play...

On the night Batley deserved their win.

Like our last away trip at Sheffield both they and Batley played to their full abilities and for us individual players made costly mistakes.

another one look.....Leigh did not play that bad, they could not break Batley down when they had some sustained pressure....the forwards were beaten and they could not build a big enough platform for your backs....it just looked like they were running hard into a brick wall.....I think if you had been playing York the scoreline would have been completely different.....but hey your entitled to your one eyed rose tinted opinion old chap...

His response was provocative, not because of his opinion which he is clearly entitled to but because he chose to make it insulting. My post suggested I didn't think Batley played well and scored off our mistakes, I have seen Batley play home and away many times and thought they could have been much better in attack.

They played the home advantage well and it would be silly to say they don't plan to do so, in return Leigh didn't control enough and gave possession to Batley in areas that put pressure on themselves and then threw some strange passes that ended up with Batley scoring.

It's only my opinion and I didn't or wouldn't disrespect the Batley team because I think they are a very good side, also I thought the Batley fans were great very vocal for their team rightly so but very welcoming to us Leigh fans too !!

Quinny lad it is a good job I am not a mod on here. Comparing us Leythers to those folk in the town who borrowed our clubs shirts and never brought them back' then exhausted our pastry mines and you come on here saying we are arrogant like them is just too much to bear.
