I actually found it a poor on the eye game for 50 or so minutes as it seemed very stop start with technical penalties.
Maybe being unfair on Haven but as a spectacle it needed a lift.
Felt Penky gave it a lift and Aspinwalls arrival along with a few positional moves gave us the options that ensured from that we played some good RL.
In fairness I think our first 50 mins of toil probably took a lot out of Haven as I never felt we would lose this game and in the end we ran out comfortable winners.
Brierley with ice pack on at the end wasn't a good sign and he seemed a bit quieter than usual today although in fairness I think that was Haven doing a good job on him - still didn't stop him getting very much involved later on in a cracking team try.

A strange day all round as the atmosphere in the ground was flat and even the announcer sounded like he was fed up to be at the place (for me we really need to get the answers to how to improve the whole match day experience if we want to get people in , I know its probably known by the BOM/D that we need to improve and we are really trying but we are a fair way off being the 'place to be' at 3pm on a Sunday so lots of work I'm sure will be done in the off season to get this better).
In fairness to our club I'm hoping the RFL's restructuring will ignite interest as games with little at stake will hopefully then become the minority.

Having said all that it was good to see some good RL played in the final stages and the determination of the lads to keep going and add points on was a credit to them and the coaching team.

Tough midweek fixture to Batley next up but we are now back on winning ways.
Lets hope Sheffield have given us our last defeat of the 2013 season and we now go on a winning run right to the end of the season.

Note to BOM without wishing to insult the pre-match and HT entertainment, we look a tad on the amateurish side. We had a cracking dance troop at HP about 8 or 9 years ago which included a local Billy Elliot.

Probably is a very fleet footed prop, but they were very good and entertaining.

Whilst the attendance might not be as good as we would like, looking up at the corporate boxes at the end of the match, the uptake looked as good as I have seen for a while.

So good progress being made there as we need to have a strong corporate side to offset the low attendances at the moment.

I thought AJ s tackling was very very good and we will benefit from that come the playoffs he''s not played all season , so he's fresh compared to some of the players who have been carrying knocks .(

Anndo was also putting Hoppy and Batey through a rigorous up and down every set of terrace steps in the LSV prior to last Sundays game I was knackered just watching them and had to have a lie down when I got home - any excuse for that though

Jasper , I was in one of the Corporate Boxes for the Haven game , and can fully recommend them to anybody , once again Andy Mazey , Alan Platt , and Rob Parker , were on hand to make sure we had a good Experience , I think this side of the Business is doing very well , I know the Carolis are ready to discuss terms for next season , with the club .
