I think PNE is out of order for starting the other the other thread. I think the club need to make an announcement on the situation (players wages & the return of DB.) as soon as possible.

Only Martyn Sadler in League Express mentions DB briefly. This is several pages after Dave Parkinsons piece which was clearly written and submitted before the post match presentations.

Well from what I have seen and read on here then I would be very happy to support a new board that had Derek, Andy and Maurice on board. One thing I know for sure is that to make this thing work then you need boundless energy and enthusiam and it seems to me that these three guys have these qualities. I think Trevor has done a great job in difficult circumstances and he must be commended in keeping the Club going through some very dark days. However maybe the time is right for some new blood and I would certainly support this new regime if it should come to fruition.

I have heard about these sort of things happening but this must be the first time for a Leyther.

I could do with exploding to shed a few pounds but to sit on the board you must have the time and money to do the job well, I have neither at present but will throw in a few grand if its right and help in the areas I can add value if required

Is it a take over, or just a replacement of the board with existing shareholder(s). At least there could be light at the end of the tunnel, just hope it can be achieved/explained quickly. Sounded like there are alot of positive vibes coming out of post match and I am still annoyed I chose to go home.

I wonder if Centurions TV will be carrying an interview with DB, or maybe they'll let Ryan and Riddy loose on him

Not having his personal details I have contacted Mr Beaumont via facebook inviting him (when the time is right) to do such an interview, though it would seem some on here wouldn't like Leigh Centurions TV to even get off the ground to start making much needed cash for the club that wont cost the club one penny.

Don't get wound up Fred about a person/people who haven't grasped that the great things that like yourself are doing for our club is beneficial for us keep up the work please

Ignore it Fred, these things can seem bigger than they are. We look forward to CTV and wish it well.

Regarding whats currently going on behind the scenes, I'm sure the Club will say something when it has something concrete to say and not before.

What the TDC can confirm is happening is in the next few days there's a collective get together of like minded individuals and busineses who are willing to help take the Club forward as one.

In the meantime anyone, and we mean anyone (TDC members or not) who wishes to help, let us, LISA, or Rob Parker know nomatter how big or small. This isn't our baby, its everyones; us, LISA, fans, sponsors, the lot. The white knight model does not work.

There are still some choppy waters ahead but with what Keith and Trevor have managed to keep going in the face of enourmous adversity, and the forward commitment of likeminded people like them there is certainly more light at the end of the tunnel.

Together we stand, divided we fall.

I will tell you why i started the thread.

Sunday was a huge game,the players weren't very happy with the BOD and the mood wasn't great,they took to the pitch for each other, the shirt and the fans,they needed the support of the fans like never before,win ,lose or draw.

It was important that everyone knew the situation,and i know the players felt like that,it was all for one,and one for all.
They played great and they beat a Batley side who where going very well in the league,got a great reception and got told after the game Derek Beamont was going to sort them out.

It could have been different though,depsite giving their all,they could have suffered a heavy defeat and the fans not knowing what was happening could have got on their backs,or given them a bit of stick,they get told after the game there's nobody to help and your still not getting paid.
What would the players minds have been like before the York game?
Thats why i thought it was important that the fans were with them all the way regardless of the result,and they appreciated what the players were doing.

Maybe the BOD should have released a statement telling the fans the situation and urging them to go and support the team,i dont know.

If people think i was out of order,then thats there right,but i don't really care,i acted in good faith, hoping the more fans that knew about the situation the better.

I was trying to get support for the players, and they are the ones that matter.

Anyway,lets hope things improve,and well done Derek for getting involved .

Fred you and the rest are doing a great job with LCTV,its a great idea,and it is looking very good.

You posting what you did made fans aware of how bad the situation was & IMO because of that there was a united crowd & a great atmosphere which I believe was partly down to your post. Regardless of the rights or wrongs I believe your information passed on helped us get behind the lads more so yesterday so it worked mate

At the next LISA meeting I will ask the club representative about the win bonus situation.

Members raise money for our club and we all want a winning side.

Every £ the players are owed needs to be paid sooner rather than later and after yesterdays performance by the lads I truly hope fans rally round. I will throw a few quid into the pot for sure.

Don't think payday was until Tuesday anyway Frank. Sounds like it will all be paid including the bonuses as I understand it. What is more concerning is what skeletons have been stuffed in the cupboard and whether they can be overcome.
