where on earth did you get that idea from? 
Seriously you are more than welcome to stay a while - why don't you introduce yourself and make a contribution of some sort.
The problem with messageboards is that people forget that they really operate a bit like mates in a pub. Imagine if you walked into a pub you have never been in, found a group of lads and with no introduction ask them a question about the length if the Great Wall of China or suchlike - see what reaction you get. Why people think they can do this in this kind of t'internet context beats me, unless they are deliberately trying to wind someone up...
That said, whose round is it next then?  |

I don't know if they are genuinely concerned or not. Who knows what peoples intentions are? For all we know swintonlions may have had the intention to donate a bit of cash to our cause, but given the bad reaction to a harmless question, they may well be thinking 'why the hell should I?'
I just think that if people are serious about raising cash in order to keep the club alive, then a friendlier attitude to whatever folk might wander onto this forum might help a little bit. |
