Higson did it on his own last time.

Gutted, but our Papuan friend won't be. What does Adam have to do? The old favourite line about it being a squad game just does not wash. Let's hope it is not true about AJ not even being in the 17. Truly disappointed and disheartened. Felt sick when I read this.

I am AJ's biggest fan but the person who knows best is our coach.

That is enough for me.

Does not stop me feeling sick at this. If Basil is going to apply for a Super League job for next season, perhaps he could enhance his chances, by offering to take Nanyn with him. I am sure this would seal the deal in negotiations with clubs such as Salford.

Agree...... Higson IMO is the next big thing at Leigh - but needs to play regular 1st team rugby. We are blessed with the squad we have this season BUT a few players have only a couple of seasons left in them and if we are serious about applying for SL next time around we have to get these young lads playing regular so when/if we get into SL they are ready/top players at this level.

Adam is still a young man and will only get bigger and better. SL beckons for Adam and I hope it is with Leigh Centurions.

Still feel sick and just cannot get my head around this at all. We could have Mal Meninga, Gene Miles, Kevin Iro and Reg Gasnier in their pomp at Leigh and Nanyn would still be the first name down at centre IMO. What is going on?

Well he probably would if we are talking about their current fitness levels. Mick Nanyn has come on leaps and bounds this year in terms of his defence and I was one of his knockers but IM knows when and how to use these lads so lets leave it upto him.

Jumping the gun here when it could quite easily be Blythe and Evans at centre.

You are quite right Matt, but I have a strong feeling that whenever Nanyn is fit, except when he was perhaps rested against Hull Dockers, he is one of the first names down. As I said last week on here, Nanyn is okay, but he should NOT be an automatic choce at centre when there is so much competition. Of course we are leaving it to Millward. He is doing extremely well this season, but that does not stop us being able to discuss other options on a forum. Perhaps we could offer to swap Nanyn for Armstrong or Evans or perhaps Blythe. I am sure that he would get on at Wire and Saints. Still scratching my head if this is true.

Nothing to do with dislikes. Seems a nice bloke and is a good player. Just bemused as to why he seems first choice centre when so much competition. If he was absolutely out of this world and top class could perhaps understand it. Que sera sera. Will still be supporting ALL the players and Millward all the way as usual.

kcab sfrawdder Luck is a combination of preparation and opportunity Just to avoid confusion Starbug is the username of Steven Pike SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done But he with a chuckle replied That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried. So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin On his face. If he worried he hid it. He started to sing as he tackled the thing That couldn’t be done, and he did it!:9005.jpg

If Mick had played against the French , we would have been playing in the next round of the CC
