A letter or an e mail to Simon Toone or and James Ditchfield at the LSV could be a start or get Dave Bradshaw and Allan Rowley on side with it they may 'run the ball', i'm having a meeting with Dave Bradshaw hopefully sometime this week I will mention it to him if I can get a word in that is , but as I won't be making use of the facilities thats all I can do, but an e mail to DB or AR may well set the ball rolling first.

Better still if EVERYONE on here who's interested sends Simon Toone an E mail then that could be better, go to the LSV website for the e mail address.

Just spoke to Dave Bradshaw he agrees if the fans e mail the LSV and send a copy to him he will have a look at it and if the Board of directors are in agreement he will see what he can do, but it must be a fans initiative and request, as I know that the Centurions have had thier own similiar ideas knocked back in the past.

I am writing to add my support to the recent discussion about the use of land around the LSV on a matchday for a fanzone type area. This idea was originally discussed on the Leigh Centurions RLFANS message board and has gathered quite a sizeable amount of interest with 4 pages of discussion already and can be viewed herehttps://forums.rlfans.com/viewtopic.php?f

It seems the basic idea is that with the recent good weather (and hopefully more in the following months) there is a great opportunity to make use of some spots around the ground to generate a good atmosphere of fun and activities for both children and adults. This could be in the form of beer tents, bouncy castles, rugby sessions/activities, BBQ etc, on the grass pitches behind the North Stand for example.

I know in the past the LSV/Club have put on things at the front of the stadium successfully and an expansion of this under a "Fanzone" type branding could bring a lot of added revenue and hopefully more supporters down to the ground, benefiting not only Leigh Centurions but also LSV/EMC alike depending on who is involved with supplying of Food/Drinks etc.

I hope that many people have contacted you on this issue as the email address has been publicised on the message board with a call for people to email in.

I look forward to something hopefully coming of this great fans initiative with the aim of benefitting everyone involved, Leigh Centurions, LSV, supporters and the town.

I would suggest a different aproach , somebody [ not me , or the missus ] prints off a few hundred leaflets outlining what the suggestions are , and distribute them among the North stand faithful , asking them if they would participate in using afformentioned area's pre and post match , then you would have a number to work with , as that is what will be asked , I have no doubt

All you have to worry about then is people either not turning up [ quite possible ] or the weather putting a dampner on things the first time you do it , ' sods law ' is I think the correct term

I remember last year when we had a fun day outside and that was rammed with kids, i think it could be a big sucess depending on the weather obviously
