| Rolls looks fit enough to play to be honest but I think there is more chance of me playing then him, now there is an idea I may not tackle anyone but even Fax fast men will take an age getting round me

| do you not think its time to reavaluate our dual regs lads, mcarthy not played many games, now injured, emmitt awesome, so good in fact back in saints team, mitchell seemingly back in favour with smith at wolves, and blyth injured, surely we should be looking to replace 1 or 2 of these players, no good having dual lads who don't actually play, just a idea.

Perhaps it wouldn't be a bad idea to have a look at replacing a couple of them, but with who????? The best U20 Superleague players will be playing for the 1st team, so we would be in the same situation as we are now with emmitt & michell. So do we take inferior players who are a long way away from 1st team rugby?? Yes, if they are better than our current players. No, if they aren't.
In my opinion who to choose for dual registration players next year would be a difficult one. Thsi season we have probably gained more than any club in the area. We have 'signed' 4 players who have significantly improved our team & have played a reasonable number of games. As I mentioned above it's no use having the best U20 Superleague player on dual registration if he isn't going to be available. Also not worth having dual reg players who don't improve your team.
This is a difficult task for the coaching team to highlight the most valuable players for us. We need to consider players that are 3rd / 4th choice for their position with the Superleague club, so are unlikely to get in the SL 1st team, but are still good players. e.g 4th choice Leeds centre may be a better choice than 3rd choice Wigan centre, even though he isn't quite as good a player, but we will get more games from him.

| Just to let everyone Know, when i walked to the sports village last night for the England RLFC promo night i noticed the leythers training on the fields behind the running track and Matty Blythe was taking full part in training, so maybe he isn't to injured after all!

Age is not really a barrier if the lad is good and mature enough! Brian Chadwick was very young when he made his debut (16 I think?) so, ability is more important.

I'm feeling optomistic now hopefully Blythe will play He had a brilliant game against Fax last time round & scored a cracking try too, if we have another D/C available one of the wire lads i'll be quietly confident for sunday.

I may be wrong about this but i'm sure the DR players registered at the begining of the season are the only ones you are allowed, i remember someone on about it when that bald winger left widnes for Cas on loan, teams are still allowed to loan players but I'm almost certain not change DR players, once you have them you have them (or not as the case may be)
Personally I don't like the DR system it's just a way of letting pooper scooper league teams keep big squads fit and stops us little teams blooding youngsters, in your case it's all rosey when Emmit is smashing everyone or Blythe? is walking tries in but it seems you rely on them a bit too much, esp when your in position you are now with Paul and a DR injured.

Wrong
You can register and de-register.
Neither of the two you mention are half backs so wrong again in fact none of the Dr's are half backs so Im afraid the Paul scenario doesnt play out as per your post, now if it were props we were short of or second rowers ....but alas good players as these lads are we can fit players into their positions, yes we miss them but please dont make out its the end of the world it isnt.

I don't recall saying your world was going to implode, i was pointing out that you rely on DR players maybe a little too much when they can be recalled at anytime, i was basing it on many posts on here from your fans over the last few weeks saying that your struggling without them and don't expect to win forthcoming games if they aren't here, my point in case is the thread where almost everyone says they will be happy with a bonus point against Fax at home when your second in the table having only lost one game playing against a team who despite being pretty good in attack, adopt the paperbag defence system.
If you can register and de-register then fair enough I apologise, I still don't like the concept, we have one ourselves but fortunately for us we have better players so don't rely on him to make our squad a winning one.
I feel also sir that i must tell you, your tone in posts i read from you leaves to be desired

| With regard to Dual Reg. players, when it comes to the play-offs we will be checking the seasons teamsheets meticulously. After all, we know we can't leave it to the RFL, don't we?
I refer, of course, to item B3:15 of the Operational Rules which states:
" Dual Registered Players shall only be eligible to play in these Grand Final series provided that
the player has played in at least 75% of the club’s Championships fixtures during the season
in question. Clubs shall be entitled to apply for a dispensation under this rule where the
Player has been injured."
You have been warned!
