So that's Toulouse away, on Easter Saturday, dash back for Batley at home on Easter Monday, then back to France again for the next game! (admittedly with a blank weekend inbetween)

Yes Frank no subsidised transport in the Challenge Cup. As a club we will loose a fortune.

But if they were coming over here the rules would no doubt be different and the RFL would pay for them

But for the Batley home game getting in the way, our lads could stay there for a fortnight, to get acclimatised. Mind you, if there's another air traffic controllers' strike, it might take a fortnight to get there!

So we incurr say £8000 in transport costs at a conservative estimate' get Crusaders in the next round and we end up out of the competition and even more out of pocket.

This is a competition we cannot win or if it comes to that any club outside Non Relegation League.

Why not just forfeit the tie.Whoever we draw in the next round it will not cover the cost of the trip.

Maybe the RBS will fund our trip if we ask them after all they are state owned and pump plenty of money into Rugger. (kick and clap for those who miss my point. ).

I will not even ask what the French clubs (Catalans excepted) are doing in this competition.

As Salford drew Catalns away and Liegh got Limoux away maybe the clubs should look at a joint travel package (both for the teams, and for the fans) to save a bit of money??

I'd go with that, definitely. Fly out Saturday morning, watch the Mancs get dicked on the Saturday night, watch Leyth on the Sunday then fly back Monday

Would make sense. But only if it was a flight out was on the late morning of the games and players and fans of both clubs travelled on the same chartered flight.

Overnight stays in hotels for club teams officials and fans would otherwise make it a very unproductive and unprofitable excercise.

I do not have to tell you that Leigh RLFC and fans would have to have the front seats on the plane.
