Toulouse will be fielding young SL stars in the making from all over the UK and from Catalan next year to ensure they win that all important 'tick in the box'.Have you forgot about the dual registration scheme
Ticking the box is only for british clubs , non british clubs do not have to ' tick ' anything

Surely what it says on their passports is all that matters?

Because I seriously doubt anyone at Gateshead has a fake passport. If they are 'Australian' but they have a legal EU passport, then that's all that matters.

Franze, Nash, McBride and McAlpine also on EU passports and available to all clubs - but let's not let fact get in the way of a good conspiracy...
3 teams still in the mix, 1 will go down - and it will be a sad day for the fans of that club.

Asking the RFL to look into something is as far as I reckon it would be suitable to go, not investigating it as a club.'"
Gateshead have 3 quota, Youngquest, Kahler and Aitken - not sure what the current position is re; Hendo

Then again the contract system in RL is wrong , we have players playing against teams they will be playing for next season and have a vested interest in
But your point does still stand , we cannot complain when the rules dont suit us and then ask for excemption when they do'"
Or you put together a squad within the salary cap.....just a thought

Unfortunatley too late for that , we have already given out contracts over and above the Championship 1 Salary cap

Many (most?) supporters of 'traditional' RL clubs would like to see all clubs in the Championship, playing to the same set of rules. You say you 'only' have three quota players (plus Henderson maybe) but Toulouse have five, and the rest are allowed one. (if they can get a visa! ) It's a bit like saying Barrow can have five points for a try, but Widnes can only have three!
By the way, I'm not saying Thunder have broken any rules, it's the rules I am questioning.
And, to further illustrate my point, it would appear that Leigh have now requested 'special dispensation' to exceed the Championship 1 salary cap, next season, should we be relegated. There seems to be a set of rules, with unlimited 'special dispensations' to get round them!

| I am watching sheffield v Barrow last night and trying to weigh up how much each individual Barrow player's wages amounts to for the season. I assessed IMo that their salary cap was blown after Catic, Rooney, Bracek, Ellis and McDermotT

I actually think its time the RFL just scrapped the salary cap and overseas quotas.
Either that or go for same quotas right across the board - regardless where the club is.
How many clubs in RL can't a) Get local players or ones within a 1 hour drive or B) Get players to move to the area and play for that club.

| Quote: Bartholemew Smythe "I`ll have a word with the UKBA in our place....... they`re quite busy at the moment but no doubts they `ll find the time........
I would welcome this type of investigation, and if it turned out that rules had been broken I would be the first to suggest that sanctions be taken.
But can I ask that any investigation be based on fact, instead of the I heard, she heard, the budgie heard tripe that has filled this forum so far.
If, however, any such investigation showed that no rules had been breached - including salary cap (which clown suggested that) - I have no doubt that the Leigh fans would not be as pragmatic, but let;s give them the chance to show that eh...
Yours (genuinely) in sport
