| Nowt wrong with Said's tackle from my point of view, a fair tough shot but the ref gave a crowd decision after blowing for some howlers beforehand. If we remove hits like that then we might as well watch football.
Thought he was very weak and very inconsistant though. Maybe its the rose tinted glasses but he'd pull for silly infringments at key times in key areas, on at least 3 occassions marching Fax up the pitch (scoring twice) then turning a blind eye for the same offences elsewhere.
Worse perfomance was from the touchjudge though. Worrincy seemed well offside and looked like he knocked on for his 3rd, not sure bout Higson's offside but it looked 50/50 at worst. 3 key pointscoring decisions which made a difference to the result, they mihgt be correct calls but we're not getting the rub of the green at all.

| Rough, tough game from two sides not playing well but really desparate for the points.
Worrincy was getting to his feet to play the ball when Nanyn hit him. Deserved yellow card IMO.
Wasn't looking to see if Worrincy was offside or not, but his position did look suspect (Usain Bolt would have been proud). And yes, he did appear to fumble the ball for his third - but did it hit the ground? The TJ was 3 yards away, I was about a 100, and yes, I do believe that the officials are honest, if not always on their best form (compare their performances to that of our players...!!).
Great atmosphere today, and other than one or two unsporting comments from your fans, most were a credit to the club. Refreshments and ticketing are a different matter....
I do hope results go your way next weekend - a Thunder meltdown against the Dons would be good (but you need to do the business against Haven).
All the best.

| Nanyn's sin-binning was daft but justified - if he thought Worrincy was about to carry on running, then he should have let him and won the penalty. That said, 'Fax only scored once Nanyn was back on anyway!
I think we definitely did miss Watson again today though - Ridyard had an excellent game, but didn't have the same assistance at half-back from Stewart as he would have had from Watson.
Ref was an utter joke, but we've missed enough chances all season, never mnid today, so we've only ourselves to blame for our imminent relegation.

Not sure about that mate, looked to me like he'd hit the ground but the tackle wasn't completed as Higson (was it?) had only managed to clip him rather than tackle him.

Pretty sure that the tackle was already completed.

Need to see it again, but I felt your guy (yes, think it was Higson), still had hold when Worrincy hit the ground. If you have hold, however loose, and the ball-carrier's arm (the one holding the ball) hits the ground then the tackle's complete. No?
Still a cheap shot by Nanyn though!
Btw, I was screaming at the Fax players (not that they could hear) to bend their backs and tackle properly!! There were plenty of high(ish) tackles from both sides - poor tackling technique (usually going for the "big hit"icon_wink.gif.

How does that one work!!
Got it now - it goes up on all my posts, not just the last one!!

| May well have been Matt. To me it looked like one of those 'is he, isn't he' situations, and I'd be expecting the ref to call it one way or another immediatly.
He may have done, and Nanyn played the game, in which case he deserved 10.

That what I meant mate, it looked to me like Worrincy had come 'through' the tackle and then hit the ground (definate arms on ground) but without Higson having hold of him. Happened so quick though....
Thinking about it, Nanyn would have got to the half time pies a few mins before the rest of the team so aye - on the balance of probability

Did you get a zoom on it? I was undecided at the time - thought it might have been a case of him just about managing to recover the ball before it hit the deck.

Like I say, a definite fumble, but did it hit the ground. The TJ was very close...

Luck is a combination of preparation and opportunity
Just to avoid confusion Starbug is the username of Steven Pike
SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done
But he with a chuckle replied
That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one
Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried.
So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin
On his face. If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done, and he did it!:9005.jpg |

You had more ball and simply ran out if ideas.
Any class players on your team would have ripped us apart but guess what you haven't got ANY.
We took our chances, Shad's 1st try you didn't even get a finger on him CLASS.
Blame the ref and your being ignorant about your own teams short comings, face it you have a team that can't score!'"
What the hells going on
Normally you post complete Bollox
I agree with this entire post

| sorry to be another going on about us coming off worse to bad decisions by the ref and I do realise I am slightly biased, but even the fax fans I talked to at the match today said that they had three tries that either shouldn't have been given (the offside one they actually made the sign for going to the video ref because they saw it as offside to) or the try come after a bad decision!
Sorry but it really angers me that matches turn on such bad decisions by the officials!
