was in front of me too. I see what steve was doing even if it didn't come off. If he had gone to the player the sheff player would have just shipped the ball on and it was try time.

...but then he would not have been in 2 minds and no-one could critise him for taking the man with the ball, and who knows what the player with ball in hand would have done.

| Awesome win, really deserved it and it was so refreshing to see the quality of rugby that we played, particularly in the first half.
Pats on the back all round (1,400 times over).

| Just goes to show that less than 1500 can still create a decent atmosphere.
Shame there was not more though who can blame them?

| My brother is a season ticket holder but didn't turn up today as a) he thought we'd get battered and b) we'd be receiving said battered in something resembling a morgue. How I have delighted in describing every possible positive from this afternoon
The moneymen might disagree, but I'd rather than 1,400 on who are giving 100% support than having 2,000 on who only make a sound when they're whinging.

Having said that, most of them are loyal in the respect that they do follow the team on a regular basis, but sometimes I wonder why

Apologies to anyone else who was on the 26 bus for my outburst. Anyways he,s taking me to Barrow Saturday.

I cannot see what anyone could have moaned about today. Even if JT would have missed "that" tackle and they went down our end, scored and won you still couldn't have moaned at the lads.
There was total commitment from all 17 for all 80 minutes - you can't ask for more than that.

Spot on. Would have been a very harsh defeat, had it ended up that way (though I'd say we only played 75 minutes rather than the 80 )

| Lack of ball in hand (and when we did have it we lost it cheaply) in the 2nd half could have cost us dear (some of the penalties and refs decisons were baffling even now after watching it again and using slow motion - he was wrong on about 8 occasions- poor performance from him could have cost us- and I dont usually 'bag' refs), but all credit to the team for not giving up, JT's tackle was a game breaker and for a change our halfs had the upper hand - and now who's 'bagging' Nanyn
