| Quote: DemonUK "We need people to start noticing us again for all the right reasons. We need to be ruthless and professional like the Bulls appear to be now, and I know I will get stick for this but personally I am sick of watching 40 minute performances.'"
Definitely. Now we're only top by the slenderest of points difference we need to go all out to score every try we can and stop our opponents from scoring every point possible. Not good enough just to get the win now, need to win big every week.
Quote: DemonUK "We struggle on tight pitches, we have Bradford Batley Workington away, Hunslet Sheffield Dewsbury Doncaster Fev at Home plus a CC QF. Our problem will be fitting the games in and hitting the 8's fresh as we have 2 midweek games to play in July.
I think we will lose 3 more in finishing second, but hit the 8's strong.'"
We do struggle on tight pitches but most of those games are at the LSV & we should be able to handle Batley & Workington so should be OK. So long as we learn from this week I don't think we'll loose 3 (don't think we'll loose any to be honest, still think we'll win at Bradford, though London yesterday were better than Bradford 1st game). We've got the squad to handle the midweek games (fortunately both at home) so should be fine.

| Quote: atomic "Just very sloppy for me.We need to learn when to respect the ball, play the sets out when required. Ball was getting to much air in this one and not sticking but we didn't go back to basics,we still continued trying the impossible ball.
We were our own worse enemy, all credit to the Broncos they sat and watched us making it for them.Hopefully we learn, take something from it and move on.'"
I tend to agree, about 'going back to the basics'. Yet the 'cavalier' approach hasn't done too badly for us, I suppose.

| Quote: Pat Haddigan "Any stattos out there tell me have we ever won in London? I'm talking about modern times since Fulham formed mid 70's, not the pre-war London setups.
I'm talking as somebody who was at Craven Cottage in our championship year of 1982 when they beat us 11-10. We only lost five in total that season and Fulham got relegated!!!
Drove there and back in the day - not a great day out.'"
We've won two or three visits to London Skolars in recent years but not sure about the Fulham/Crusaders/Broncos.

| Charlie and the Carolis have arrived back from London tonight, the game and result were very disappointing ,not unexpected though as I've been saying for ages somewhere this season we WILL get beaten,I thought London played very well and deserved the win , but Leigh were below par in a few areas, not many stand out players for us , but it's not the end of the world, bring on the Bull frogs next week, let's get back to playing powerful fast open rugby,we are still top and now need to beat all the teams including Bradford away to finish top,Cmon you Leythers it can still be done.
From a personal view the weekend was great ,went to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, great seats, good meal in Planet Hollywood, shame Charlie Jnr was ill, very good Hotel, great weather, and only 35 minutes to London ,the same coming back to Manchester.Ladtly thank you everyone who had sent Mrs Caroli and myself their best wishes , Mrs Caroli deserves a medal for putting up with me for 30 years.I STILL LOVE YOU PAT.

I'm not disputing the cavalier approach..What I am saying is if that ball isn't sticking, then they need the call back to basics and respect the ball. Regardless of 27 wins, were up against X SL,If we want SL then it needs sorting.

Was actually agreeing with you. At times, for example when Ollie Wilkes coms on from the bench, he seems to exemplify that 'basic' approach.

| We missed Fui yesterday on a tight pitch he sucks a few defenders in and makes spaces for the backs . Missed Jamie too hes been very good too last few weeks . Hock rarely misses tackles so these three were a huge loss but we move on and start the next unbeaten run come Sunday

| I'll shove my four pen'orth in here.
That was the most committted I've seen London for a long long time, finally we looked like a team of 17 who were playing for each other. Good example is when Kay made a break and got chased down. Basically our two (Macani & Kear) pinned their ears back and never gave up. Trust me, if Kay had done that in any of the last 3 or 4 seasons against us our defenders would have given up by the 40m line and he'd have strolled it in under the posts.
Most noticable difference for me was line speed, particularly in the first half. Every PTB you had we were up quickly closing down your options. Every PTB we had your guys were slow off the mark and essetially gave us most of the 10m for free. On a short pitch like ours that gave us field position.
I still think you're the only side with a realistic chance of going up, and of cutting it if you do. Not least because you've got a great setup off the field at the LSV.
Thanks to all the Leythers who came down, lovely people and a brilliant atmosphere. Despite the result I hope you all had a great day.
Good luck for the rest of the season.
