Paul Rowley will come to the LSV with the most simple 3 point game plan to beat Leigh
1) Get Acton sent off, the earlier the better.
2) Get the ball to Brierley, to fling a long over the top ball to the left edge. two out of three ballswill catch Matty Dawson asleep, drifting .
3) Most imperative, See point number one.
We can't say we are not warned here. Acton does not have the maturity or presence of mind to identify it or to deal with it. Rowley knows it.'"
Theres was quite a few comments made to Acton in that match. Vaivai,Hansen and Mr Hicks most notably. He just needs to learn to take those comments on board.
Would like to see the stats for young Nick Gregson in that match. Think he tackled a complete set on his own.

| Quote: Harry Stottle "NO!
Perhaps that is why some of the comments about lack of coaching abillity is a topic in this thread.
KC's record in that dept does not bode very well, only a blind man would not see how greatly not only the individual player's but the entire team improved once Saints were shut of him.
No denying he has done very well in enticing players to the club, but isn't that his job?
It was said that KC was influencial in replacing McNally with Hampshire against Catalan in the MPG, totally stupid decision, albeit Hampshire did not have a bad game by his own standards, what we greatly missed was McNallys abillity to chime into the line making the extra man, something he has done with aplomb for a very long time, and something that was sadly missed in that game, a hunch putting Hampshire in did not pay off, but in what was the most important game of the season was that the right time to play a hunch, or go with something the team are familiar with.'"
Not really sure KC had any influence whatsoever with the MPG. What is fact,is this new team is part of his influence.

Well, at the 'meet the players' evening, the owner did say that Acton wouldn't be anywhere near Leigh, when we play Toronto! ![Wink icon_wink.gif](images/smilies//icon_wink.gif) Not a bad call, although this will be just the kind of test he will have to face.

Does this mean DB has the last say on team selection or was he speaking on the coaches behalf?

Possibly Alan could say in what context DB made that statement! That way you can stop reading into things that are not there.

And he could miss half of it by playing in that game - you can't put the other teams in the league in the same context as Toronto, the whole meaning is so different - and Rowley knows it

Gladly.
My interpretation was that he was joking. (He had alluded to the fact that we had nobody left from the Rowley era, and somebody mentioned Jamie.)
We can't allow the opposition to dictate who we select/don't select. I reckon that Rowley will 100% try to take advantage of any perceived weakness and that Jamie is just going to deal with this type of situation. It could be the making of him. (or................................................)

Thanks for the reply-There are a few hotheads in the Toronto squad maybe we will target them.

Some could miss half through injury. All speculation. He's a paid professional Rugby League player and has a job to do.
Leaving him out sends a clear message to all..
Rip it up Jamie lad.. Send the pac, packing.

| Moot point this, should he play or not?
Paul Rowley will use every means at his disposal to win the game, niggling Jamie Acton is a primary function he will not miss, how much does he value Jamie as a threat, would he be willing to play a chess move and sacrafice someone like Bussey with instruction that if also gets sent of so be it.
On the other hand does Neil Jukes think selecting Jamie may disrupt the team to much if he gets sent off
I'm with Atomic, we are scheduled to play TWP 3 times this year, not playing him sends out a message for all the wrong reasons, and if by any actions Jamie does are unwarrented in that being something totally stupid, then the club should get shut, surely after Jamies public apoligies to the fans and his teammates following his last suspension, he should expect nothing less.

Well 'H' here we are another season and another difference of opinions over Jaime Acton
If PR does manage to get Jaime sent off, that will be some achievement and I'm still waiting for someone to tell me when Jaime was last sent off for Leigh?
We have got to have some players who play the game on the edge, Hulls Prop Watts, received three Red Cards last season and he has Medals in his pocket and was on the verge of World Cup Selection ![Shocked icon_eek.gif](images/smilies//icon_eek.gif) Are Hull fans wanting rid of him?
All teams have players who 'run the gauntlet' when it come to discipline! In the Qualifiers game against KR Jewson (KR Prop) had a field day against us bullying our pack, I was particularly frustrated to see Jaime, Hock and Weston sat in the Stand, do you think they would have allowed Jewson a free hand? No we have got to have some fire and, Jaime is one of the best Props in the Game hence, his four year contract!
At Mick Martyn's funeral Service recently, I noticed the Leigh squad enter the Church and sit on Benches along the Church Wall. None of those players were aware that they had just filed past another Leigh legend, 85 year old Stan Owen. Leaving the Church the players again passed by Stan and as Jamie passed him, I couldn't help but smile(first of the day) I though Jamie, you don't know who you have just passed ![Laughing icon_lol.gif](images/smilies//icon_lol.gif) H, you'll remember Stan as well as do and know Stan too played the game 'on the Edge'
I would ask all our fans to get behind Jaime because he puts his body on the line for Leigh every time he plays and, that'll do for me (Tommy) ![Laughing icon_lol.gif](images/smilies//icon_lol.gif)
