| Quote: Ste100Centurions "Bit embarrassing for me this one *as I previously posted about big numbers travelling to see Leigh away in the 8's*, I maybe should have curbed my enthusiasm.
Anyway, my point is, as salfordlad says, let's get down to the Council House at Brookhouse in big numbers hopefully, but I just phoned the Club about tickets for the Devils/Reds match & was told there are loads left, which shocked me a little as that away terrace at the 'Lean To' end of the ground is really quite small.
About 8 rows & then a cardboard wall I seem to remember *from when Leigh battered Salford & their Aussies/Kiwis in their 1st match at the ground*
Hope to see plenty of Leigh, Athy, Tyldesley & Lowton lads & lasses on the Salford Riviera on Sunday.
By the way, the French call it Ecc - Les' I believe.'"
In fairness I think the clubs is also learning with these fixtures and I'm sure we'll have a more structured approach for the remaining games with tickets available earlier with a bigger more public push on sales.
Didn't realise the Salford tickets was actually available until Tuesday and don't live anywhere near Leigh so its pay on the day for me and the family but ideally as a club we need to off load tickets early for all our games in advance as its easy to get out of a habit of attending (especially if its a new fan following us - football season starting and all that).
Still think we'll take a very respectable support to Salford and anyone missing it will miss a cracker.

| Wouldn't the away club have to wait for stadium allocation first? Are the tickets not already on sale for the Wakefield game! I don't know what the consequences of switching to online tickets would cost the club, but as you say the possible damage of not having that in place will cost more.

| The coach tickets have been on sale three weeks .
Due to drivers holidays and pre booked day trips in kids holidays the firms have limited numbers of coaches during the holiday period , the more time we can give the firms re numbers required the easier it is for them to get drivers hired in etc . When people insist on booking last minute it doesn't help at all .
I have been selling them after every home game and doing an evening in the wren besides the normal market stall sales do I have made it easy for people to book.
I put messages out when tickets went on sale I had to let firm know numbers by Wednesday of the week we play and people ignore it and want to leave it till the very last minute.
I can a accomodate everyone wanting to go on coaches if people book early .
There is about 12 seats available as I did manage to get another coach yesterday .
See Gillian on the stall please .
Halifax tickets will be on sale after our game next week as well as from Gillian from Monday next week .
Thanks lynda

| According to the M.E.N., Salford are narrowing the pitch for Sunday's game - this shows a sign of panic to me, they are obviously scared of our off-loading abilities.

Most of our offloads come from Hock and Barlow though. If those 2 are missing as suggested then our creativity up the middle takes a huge blow.
Got a bad feeling about this game. Hope i'm wrong

I have seen alot more Leythers car badges/flags in Atherton recently (one of the main reasons i moved )
Also why didnt the council come up with a better slogan than "Beleive in Leigh" surely BeLeighve would have worked a treat.
Good luck on Sunday

| Not convinced by the whole narrowing the pitch story at all, but I guess we will soon see on Sunday.
Looking forward to this one, it's been a while since we hosted Leigh at our own place. I think we've got a pretty full choice team to pick from, so no excuses from us.

Didn't realize you were allowed to do that during a season. would have thought pitch size would have to stay constant for full season.

| Leigh 19:
McNally, Higson, Dixon, Barlow, Brierley, Emmitt, Beswick, Pala, Spencer, Wilkes, Ridyard, Haggerty, Higham, Armstrong, Moimoi, Goulden, Acton, Kay, Aspinwall
Salford 19:
Jones-Bishop, J. Griffin, Sa'u, Johnson, Chase, Dobson, Morley, Lee, Hansen, Taylor, Evalds, A. Walne, G. Griffin, Forster, Paterson, Tomkins, Krasniqi, Maitua, Thornley
Happy to see Barlow in the 19 as i thought he was injured, hope he makes it into the 17.
No Hock, Hopkins, Worthington or Pownall.
Big chance for Pala to show what he can do.
Salford squad looks strong.

| A blow to lose any player at this important stage of the season and Hock will be particular loss however hopefully back for the Bradford game.
That said we have played plenty of games without Gareth and have more than enough cover and skill in reserve.
Got my tickets today so now all set for what should be a cracking game.

| We will defiantly miss Hock and Hopkins 2 of our most influential forwards ,we have cover though and it should be a great game ,I think Leigh will win but not much in it,I'm looking forward to meeting a couple of old Friends at the game.
