I think there is 1 VERY important point you make. Did AT put the money in via inter company loans (it would make sense, otherwise he would have had to pay personal income tax then put the money in from his own money)? If this is the case I would think that creditors who are owed money from his folded company could call in the loans to the club, which would be very serious indeed.

I entirely agree, but unless the club wants to be forthcoming on the subject then there isn't much point in speculating, is there?

Right I might regret this one , but I was told , his investement in Leigh Centurions was personal , not via his company , This was not a rumour , I have no reason not to believe who told me

That is all I will say , as that it the main concern that might put people off contributing

I suppose my questions then (last ones), which i'll ask Trevor but which people may well know:

1. how much do we need to raise?
2. By when?
3. Do we talk about a plan B?

MJC - thanks for reappearing after the original post. From the little I have seen you seem to have a genuine interest in helping the club which is great. Welcome on board its going to be a crazy ride!

The point being you were never going to get the answers you posted , on here , all you were going to do is put doubt in the minds of people who we need to help the club RIGHT NOW , if you really did want answers to those questions all you had to do was ring the club and ask to speak to either Keith Freer,Phil Coffey or Trevor Barton

If you are reasonably intelligent , genuine concerned fan , that is what you would have done , if you want to help further you are welcome to help us encourage fans to sign up for LISA , as contributions to that will not be abused as they will be only given to the club in stages as required , therefore that money cannot be abused

With the idea of fans shareholdings keeping on coming up, my only problem with this would be that in my eyes it would seem that every member of the shareholdings would need fairly deep pockets and please correct me if wrong but the shareholdings would be acting as another director if they were pumping money into the club? I just don't think it's logical because unless I'm thinking wrong each of the members would need substantial money to make it worthwhile.

Shareholders would only be at risk for their original investment, nothing more. Directors run the club on behalf of the shareholders and may be the shareholders themselves or some of them.

What other monies are you on about.?

Just a word of caution from a cougars fan I really hope you get a quick resolution to the current problems but going into administration is not just the end of the debt.

Players will become free agents as far as I know.

Once a club enters administration the club will be put into special measures by the rfl which amongst other things means you will not be able to get new players without their agreement.

Also if the problem concerns tax/paye/ni elements there are very strict payment timetables involved.

The rfl can vary the time in special measures dependent on compliance from the club.

What is essential is I hope your board of directors is more transparent than our previous lot. Current directors are doing a great job and keeping fans up to date as much as possible.

As I say I wish you all the best but there are pitfalls involved in administration.

Thanks for that , but we aren't essentially in any financial trouble , yet , we are debt free but have commitments that need to be met in the near future , that is our problem
