Smart move by the club announcing these signings prior to this game. Hunslet at home on a Sunday was always going to be a turn off with the fans. This may create some chatter around town this weekend and reduce some of the drop off.

Do you know I don't think your far off the mark there. Good PR lifts any business , especially sports businesses. All this is good news and lets hope C&W that it does put a spark of interest into a few more peoples heads in the surrounding areas.

The Beswick signing is the key one here. He's a very clever operator and one of the best pivot players in the comp. Tommy G1 has been v good since walking through the doors and I thought he was our MOM last week v Leeds.

Personally, and I know I don't pass too much comment on here these days but happy with all those players pinning their colours to the mast... points to very much to a playing and coaching staff that are together.

can i just say this is all really good news, its great to see us sign young talent pownall up to decent lenght contracts, and the other who have signed deserve them as all have played really well this season. i along with quite a few people did not think or rate rowley as a coach, but i have to give credit were it is due, so far he has dione a top job with limited funds and players, well done paul and all at the club.

I'm glad it's not just me that's holding his hand up and admitting they may be wrong....

I had two reasons why I was not easy with making Paul our coach. firstly was that I really did'nt want him to fail with us again. I know it wasn't Pauls team but neither is this, 100%. I really did'nt want one of Leighs best becoming a leper. Secondly I thought that we should have had the best coach that was available for the money we had. If it was Paul then fine butif a better coach was available then we should have gone for them. After the friendlies my worries were gone and I can say that the club made the best possible apointment for the money we had in Paul Rowley. This season is by far and away better than anything I was expecting after the mess we were in. I also think that with this team and the coaching staff we will have a great season with a piece of silverware.

Good to see some huge positives in players commiting to Leigh long term.
