Seems to be Bob is used to steady things, organise players and contributes to the team playing some fantastic rugby, Penky produces those fantastic creative offloads, makes brilliant breaks and provides that magic touch, both are essential to Rowley's plan. Must admit I normally prefer to start with Bob, let teams tire out a bit then bring Penky on to run at them, although against Fev in a final starting with Penky and getting a good lead early then bringing Bob on to steady it paid off. I sit just behind the dugout at the LSV and both are always furious to be taken off, it's how they are, but Rowley knows best, as show by 25 wins out of 26 games, only 1 loss and that was when Bob was playing out of position at half back and Penky had to play the full game at hooker.

So classy player says no one will say anything to his face.... you made an appointment to see Mr Rowley yet CP.

Classy Player is entitled to an opinion and I too thought Penky should have played longer!
I'm not criticising PR, how could you? however it is Penky who provides the magic that's not to say Beswick does not play his part! Against Leeds our attack stalled when Penky went off and did again on Sunday!!
Bottom line is it was a fantastic performance from the entire squad and they should be proud of what they have achieved, I know I am! This is my sixtieth year watching Leigh and I have witnessed many superb victories and Sunday's was up there with the best!!

I don't think that Classy Player really needs to reveal who they are do they? What will anyone gain from it and if he/ she is ridiculed in public for their comments then this board should be shut down. They are entitled to their comments and did not break any AUP. There seems to be a bit of a witch hunt gathering pace here, lets not go overboard.

Maybe Paul, but if we did have all the facts even more chaos would ensue. Also I'm sure that if a fan did ask questions, Paul would be very polite and direct with his answers. Paul himself would agree and has openly said that he learned loads from Tony Smith about subjects like dealing with players, fans and press.

Can't believe this is the longest post final thread,the comments were OK and though I disagree with them, that does not mean they were not valid.I did not like the "if you knew who I was you would not say that to my face" because you could say that about half the comments on every forum in the world,thats the nature of the beast.

Any opinion is fine but some state an opinion as if it is a fact, there is quite a difference, for one an opinion can be argued whereas a fact can not.

I think Paul is in a great place in having the 2 hookers we do and more so having a squad that can play equally well with both guys. Let's be honest Sean and Bob play the position in very different ways to each other and i don't just mean one is an attack hooker and one is a defensive hooker, imagine what it is like to try and set a game plan against us when we use both guys especially as you never know which one will start each half. As i hinted at before i am super impressed at how well the team adjusts to either guy and knows where on the field to be to support or receive a pass, surely thats some coaching and some set of lads

Best two nines in the comp, both with different qualities which effect games in different ways at different times.

Fax away Penky was ineffective and we were 24 nil down when Beswick entered the field of play a move by Rowley that ultimately contributed to the game being turned on its head.

Horses for courses but to have two players sharing that role as good as these two lads shows just how strong our squad has been this year, light years ahead of any team at this level in terms of strength, depth and quality and an embarrassment of riches at the coaching teams disposal.

Nobody can argue with Pauls record at this level and he has earned the right to try and take us to the next one in the next few years.

What impressed me with Sean also in the final was his kick chase and his defence. Oh and his defence of Tom Armstrong when he got lumped. Sean should have never got a yellow for that, he only pushed him and Crookes should have got a red.
