I agree 100% with the watcher. Nobody likes a drink more than me, i'm in the white lion as i type this. But i also hope people from both sides have a great day, enjoy it for what it is a grand final, but please have some self control, i will be having a few scoops, but will behave. Lets do our great club and players proud, as they i'm sure will do us proud on the pitch, if you want to get wasted, fantastic, stop in leigh in a pub, and let the real fans enjoy the occasion.

While I dont always agree with the Watcher, if you reread his OP, he suggests that the more regular fans ' advise ' those more likely to missbehave

Well i personally did not see any trouble. Both sets of fans seemed to behave. Which has to be a very good thing

When we parked up and we saw the Fev coaches parked in same place, my thoughts were this spells trouble.
However there wasn't any the few Fev fans we saw on the way out congratulated us .
So week done everyone credit to sport are Rugby League fans

There was more antagonism from the Olympia coach (8 and 10) drivers than the Fev fans. The driver of one of the coaches gave a very stern lecture to the whole coach prior to return about £1000 fines for drivers, culprits and organisers if alcohol was found which he said he had after he had dropped off on the way there. Dropped off in totally the wrong place, having been heard to say, "I don't know why they give these direction sheets out" before tossing it away. Not once was there any politeness as in...thank you for your cooperation. Also if they had been where they were supposed to be at the time they were supposed to be we would probably not have had 2 fewer people going home, no idea who or where they ended up

Yes Dereck, unfortunatley a combination of poor organisation by Leeds and the police and drivers not following simple instructions we had some confusion post match, lets hope Headingley doesnt get next seasons Championship GF s and the SL qualifying Million Pound Game

I have to say I have mixed views on Headlingley as a venue, in the main had a great day out, no issues at all between any of the supporters, spoke to several Fev, Oldham, Hunslet, and even a couple of Hull fans, all enjoying the day, we also bumped into Rob Parker, and John Duffy, also saw Richard Agar having a laugh with supporters in one pub, someone told me two bobs was knocking around but I didn’t see him.

Whilst out and about some of the door staff in some pubs seemed to be simply refusing some fans entrance just for the fun of it, saying things like “it was too full”, when quite clearly it wasn’t, and when I pointed it out they said “we have to give staff time to wash the glasses” I wasn’t going to win nor was I too fussed as I was already inside but one or two fans trying to get in were becoming a little frustrated but fortunately I don’t think anything happened.

As for the ground, I didn’t think it was a great view from that terrace, nor would I like to be there in the rain, toilets seemed a mile and half away (but that could be the zig zag route I took ). Oh and I lost in the ‘catch-a-ball' whizzy thing! (not their fault I know my opponent must have cheated! .)

But when we lost our little Angel the Police did their best trying to direct him by phone to the nearest land mark and showed us on their phone whereabouts they thought he was, they also radioed through saying keep an eye out for him, so in fairness they did probably all they could, bar send up the chopper. The coach driver and some of the passengers were a little p’d off whilst our search was going on, understandable I know, and of course the lad should have been responsible enough to find his way there but coaches being parked in a lane at the bottom of a housing estate isn't great, even if he has been there twice this year.


All in all who cares we won

And on top of all that the overhead variable speed cameras on the M62 between Leeds and Huddersfield are still active even when they look turned off. The only place in the country that they do it. Got flashed coming home and probably going to the game also. I prefer the six point on the score board not on my licence. This has taken the joy out of last night.

I tried to get into a pub, they said was full, did nit bother me, as i went to the arcadia a few mins walk, fairly quiet, and the choice and quality if real was fantastic. The view from the seats in carnegie stand was excellent, and we got back into leigh and managed to get l last bus, winners all round
