Commercially I would imagine this decision has been made working in conjunction with our stadium partners and as far as I can remember is the same as the away fixture last year and the home one year before last.

Don't get me wrong It wouldn't be my preferred choice but It is what it is. Let's be honest whatever time you play this game it will clash with something on the Easter weekend indeed many people actually go on holidays etc at Easter

Sometimes I think we forget but people operating the stadium, staff and players all have families and lives to.

Swinton are our local derby game, it's Good Friday, everyone plays local derbies on Good Friday, just the way it is. As for kick off time have to look at doing what's best for our club, if we're going to be sending the team into Leigh East again and trying to create a good post match atmosphere there we can't be waiting till every other match has finished before we kick off, it'll be too late. I'm not bothered who else is playing what at the same time I'm a Leigh fan and will be watching Leigh.

Wasn't it stated, prior to the season, that a game/games would be held on Saturdays, this season? Has anyone any info. on that, please?

I read somewhere that our home game against Keighley will be on Saturday Evening rather than the Sunday.

Yes, keighley saturday 19th july. As for swinton game, i take on board your point andy, i was just thinking about the impact on the crowd and subsequently our finances. Will i be at the game, go in then i think i,m not doing owt else that day

Must admit that's a really poor kick off time for any club unless it is forced into it as its live on TV.
Trying to understand at just who the kick off time is targeted at as its not good for families and I'd imagine those lads on the ale would probably have watched the live tv game and then have come to the LSV so we may have chalked off a fair chunk of what we have been targeting so far this season.
Bit of a own goal IMHO.

Had we gone for a later kick off we might have gotten a few extra fans from the pubs after watching the other game but I think most wouldn't bother. I think we'd loose more people that want to do something different on their day off and putting KO at 12:00 means there's still time for them to do something else after the game. I don't think it's a bad time at all.

Yeah I'd have liked to watch both but my priority lies with my team , and so I'll record he other game !
