| Must say I was disappointed with today's showing.
When I heard the Wire team announced I thought we would beat them with a bit to spare. But we looked off the pace all through and Dwyer and O'Brien ran the show. Agree our out wide defence is poor and Riddy runs up blind allies too often for my liking. Also, I think he should be putting over straightforward conversions like the last one every time.
First half better than second, but I think all the interchanges affected us more than theirs did them.
Definitely improvement needed (but our first try was a belter )

| People say you should not look too much into friendly's. But I'm afraid when Fev are beating a Hull team with quite a few first teamers 54-6, and we lose to Pretty much Warrington's reserve side with a handful of first teamers you've got to look into it. Everytime the ball goes down browns wing something comes from it, I agree about the second half in terms of one out rugby. But on a positive note we got the Man of the match right for once in Higson, had a quality game!

| Not impressed other than that try. Too many wild passes and distribution was poor. Still have no clue as to how good we actually are bearing in mind we have lost to effectively 2 SL U20s sides. The 4 stars Wire had today played no more than 15 minutes each.

| As somebody else said, still no idea how good we actually are, don't yet know who our first 17 are. Thats the problem with the friendlies, with the rolling subs it all just looks unorganised at best plus lacks any real match intensity. Seen a few flashes of brilliance in the games I've seen so still hopeful for the season.
See what happens at Halfax next week, personally I hope we lose so we get better odds on winning the league haha.

| I think we lost the plot in the second half with all the interchanges (but is that not what friendlies are for), and Im sure Paul knows his strongest team for when the games really matter.
Im not sure of our defence yet, are we sliding or man marking or a bit of both ? Alex Brown was lost in no-mans land on numerous occasions coming in from the wing, giving their wing easy space and tries.
It would be nice to get a win pre season but it all starts with Batley, we'll see a better result then....................I hope.

| I think we make some daft defensive errors and we need to be quicker round the play the ball.
Our best backs Higson and Brierley and our best forward was Ryan Duffy.
Hard to keep to a game plan imo given the number of interchanges in the second half.
Micky Higham wasn't on long but when he was he showed us up.

| Not bothered about the score of these friendlies. I will be more bothered if we playing and loosing in the league. What I was praying for was Jamie Acton to give Anthony England a good hiding. England is a first class tool and the sooner he runs onto an elbow the better. I think he was nipping Acton in the scrum because Jamie was agressively pushing him away all the time when the scrum was breaking up and the ref wasn't looking.

| England is an absolute tool, on numerous occasions he tried putting shots on our players and they just embarrassed him by stepping him, wish acton would of given him a good hiding

| As a fan I feel we will rack the points up in our league, today we never left the dressing rooms second half, and need to sort that out.
Missed Tommy G today, and Wilkes to a lesser degree as we have some great props imo. But Wilkes and Tommy lead, and that was missed today. Acton/Spencer/Wilkes/Emmit/Duffy with Barlow playing an extra prop role at 13 is plenty for this league though
Our movement with ball in hand is better than its ever been, with great support play once we break the line and we can certainly finish it for a change
I think the 17 is now becoming clear but I think Paul has some decisions on Kay/Ridyard/Brierley/McNally/Govin/Penky for 3 start spots and a bench
Higson has grabbed the spare wing spot in the friendlies, but who partners Armstrong in the centres?
Its over to PR in a couple of weeks, and I believe we will be very happy come the end of the season despite an awful second half today.

| That was a very good Warrington side we played today.
As the season is now upon us I will refrain from commenting on any team or footballing related thread as I don't think it is my place to do so or professional.
I will however say I really believe in Derek, Paul and the coaching team we have and I honestly feel this is the best squad and depth we've had for many years and honestly feel we are ready for the serious stuff now after a tough pre season.
Roll on Batley 16/02 can't bloody wait!!!!

| As a Warrington fan watching Leigh it seemed you had a propensity to good wide rather early despite not having a platform to do so. In Ridyard, you have a player who seems a little bit too individual, trying to score on every play, this can result in a poor last tackle kick.
Brierly is a peach of a player, get Ridyard playing with some composure and you have a pair of halfbacks that will comfortably unlock the best of defences.
Not sure what happened with England, but he was being a bit of a soct-cock in parts of the game.
Good luck for the forthcoming season. I always keep an eye out for the Leythers results.
