Young player of the year at Wire me thinks and won't be out of place in the Knights side. Putting the lad in the big lads team in his first year in SL maybe a step too far for him and personally I would like to see him get a couple of SL seasons under his belt and by that time he will be ripping it apart.

On what basis do you think he's not ready?

He's looked like a top prop forward every time I have seen him play for Warrington this year. He's pushed Adrian Morley—his club captain and an England international—to the bench.

There's nothing that I can see that would preclude him from playing with the same intensity at senior international level.

Well like most on here I think he is brilliant and would not be out of place in the full International squad.

His progress since he went to Wire has been phenomenal and emphasise the benefits of being able to play RL full as opposed to part time.

Hill has been fantastic this year and exceeded most expectations however let's just dial it down a little. In the example you posted Morley has missed almost the whole of the season in spells including just coming back from a lengthy layoff and is feeling his way back into the team, hence his starts from the bench.
Hill has done very well to keep his place among probably SL's best pack but that's the very reason he's looked so good; the players around him. He's impressed on his debut season but lets not put the cart before the horse, he's not ready yet. If he keeps up the hard work then im sure he'll get there in the end.

Lets add all 3 player of the year awards at Warrington to the list too.

He's suppassed all expectations and worked really hard, doesn't make him the first name on the team sheet though. Carvell for example is still a far better all round prop

If he is being tagged as a future international then surely this autumns mickey mouse series against Wales & France would be the best time to blood him into that level rather than throw him into the World Cup next year. It's not like throwing a teenager into it.
