Would imagine Leigh will be covering their travelling expenses (or at least part of it) though, so that's another cost to consider.

| I prefer the collective of all 3 parties and good luck with the brain surgeon exams.

Think the problem stems from the LSV wanting the same amount of cash for 'running' the game rather than being a percentage of the gate etc, though admittedly I haven't any foundation for that and is just the impression I've got from when this topic has cropped up in the past. Either way, all the parties involved should be getting their heads together and making these games as attractive as possible, and I'm afraid £14 to watch Salford's kids doesn't exactly give me images of a packed house.

| But it wasn't their kids last time was it Matt. I think they will bring a good mixture with only the overseas player missing. Anyway heres hoping. It will be a severe knock to Mr McCreas future employment prospects if we beat them even if it is a team of kids.

Looking at Salford's squad this year, take out the overseas players and the kids are what you're left with

Sorry but I can't see any coach/team manager being sacked as a result of "meaningless" friendlies !
If Leigh beat all three SL teams will it improve the chances of getting in SL 2012 or 2015 ?................NO.
They are run outs, practice matches.........any coach will take in the positives but won't get carried away or be sacked based on these results, so those who maintain £14 is too expensive are probably right.

Whilst £14.00 for a friendly can look a bit pricey it could've been marketed as £2.00 Cheaper than the usual pay on the gate (must admit I'd have also put the price for the NorthStand to £12.00 to show the reduction all around), along the lines of 'Leigh cut prices for the visit of the SL stars of the future' etc
Equally the price for children at Leigh really does need looking at by the people in charge as currently its too high.
A pay on the day price of £7.00 for a 5 - 15 year old to watch Leigh is too much IMO , the club won't make much money off the gate receipts from this batch of people so why not price it low enough(£3.00 for 13-16 , Free under 13) so a 15 year old could see if his mates fancy watching Leigh with him for a change and a adult can think of taking his children along to get them interested.
Leigh will make money on youngsters from other streams (Tops, Baseball Caps , Scarfs etc) and the LSV will make money by selling more hot dogs / pop etc, etc (Have you ever known a child not to spend money wherever they go ?).
We are really moving in the right direction with what I feel the best yet to come on & off the field at Leigh, the future looks very good and the clubs is making massive strides , however we are lacking in attracting the very audience we need to survive.
On the 27th Dec there will be lots of kids in Leigh sat about bored at either home or in the Town Centre, imagine if just 6 people came for the first time how much money the club would be making ( if your not sure try and think how much money you've spent on Leigh in the last 10 years - thats how much money our club is missing out on).
Come on Leigh we are slowly getting there, lets take the youngsters along for the Journey as well.

| I would say u10s free and 10-15 a fiver for the friendlies. The junior season ticket for the champion ship is very fair if you ask me but what I would do is if you have then decided to buy a season ticket because of what you have seen in the friendlies and can produce your ticket stubs you could get an ST at the early bird price. That would make the £14 price a bit better to swallow for some.

All those 'fat-cat' video-photographers should be made to pay, or the likes of Peawapp who get into all the other games for free!
