I hope the fans do turn up

I think folk will turn up in numbers for the Wigan game as Wigan will have to send a strong squad in view of their imminent World Cup Challenge game.

I also think most Leigh folk want to see if our squad is as good as we think they are going to be.

And some could do with learning tact.

IMHO I think the prices for the friendlies V Salford & Wigan,are far too high.You can go and watch Saints v Wigan on Jan 31st for £12 seated,and £10 standing.This seems to me a far more reasonable price.

Knowing how Saints approach testimonials, that'll end up being an Academy game.

That's an interesting choice but after you take in transport parking and insurance claim it works out far more

Perhaps our board could learn from the world cup organisers who filled our ground,but it seems he thinks they were foolish in there pricng structure.

In response to your post I shall keep it as simplistic as possible:

Working on an average of 1800 last season (which is generous) we trailed grossly reducing the entrance costs against Batley in the NRC cup semi final to a tenner. Doing this effectively means you need to increase your gate by a further 1080 just to break back even. It didn't work we got the same gate. Likewise supporters want to see quality players on the field and to do this we need a budget to attract them. This has been carefully planned out and is work in progress. We have to capitalise on the quality of players we have attracted to the LSV and the opponents we have lined up for them. As much as we would like the whole town to come for free to see the stadium full we have to accept the financial and commercial issues surrounding running the club. In life you get what you pay for and we are charging for the quality we are providing and we believe we have priced that correctly. We cannot please everyone all of the time and we will have courage in our convictions and deal with the consequences if we get it wrong as ultimately as a board we will be covering any financial shortfall should our actions cause one. We appreciate all the feedback and are encouraged by the fact so many of our supporters and opposition are engaging in discussing what Leigh Centurions are doing from whichever perspective they choose.

Not directly Steve but plenty of reference to the way the RLWC was marketed but bottom line is they filled LSV with cheap/ free tickets and we cannot afford to do that.

To nobody in particular.

Bottom line is and final word on ticket prices is we won one of the two trophies on offer last year kept the squad together and have added 6/7 top class signings to the squad.

Our new pricing structures for the season are family orientated i.e a dad buying a ST gets a free kids ST so effectively dad and lad can go the match for 12 quid a game.

Flip side is we don't sign anyone get shut of players pay them all 20 quid a game and go down Duel Reg route but you can all come in cheap or for nowt???

It really is as straight forward as that.
