No , someone is once again shifting blame and clutching at straws

We use the same plan year after year - throw whatever money available at the first team, and the crowds will come flocking. We need to forget grandeur status of us being a SL team in waiting - once in we will be awreet reasoning. We need to start to realise we are a average Championship club that needs to get better and start competing for honours again (not SL ticks). Its certainly been a while since we even won a playoff game.
As for crowds - its frightening how long it takes for gates to rise even with a team playing well and being top. But once the team hits bad form the crowds don't half plummet quickly. Not exactly healthy for the clubs finances when results cannot be guaranteed. The stay aways need a bit of back bone when supporting their towns team. Tho the club do need to do more to encourage fans to go watching and not just when we are winning.

I think we need to accept facts in that the inhabitants of this town are becoming less and less concerned about the state of the place, never mind the state of the town's rugby team. Walking home tonight, it was staggering how many passers by where shouting 'Eagles' and the like.

We need to get back to some basics but also build on some positives from this season.
Leigh have to be the best team outside of SL (we are one of the biggest clubs in the Championship , this despite virtually no SL experience/finance).

Make watching Leigh a cost effective enjoyable experience for all the family and for everyone.
The 'one team' feeling we had when Terzis was around (which started when Millward propelled us up the league) saw our support rise along with a feel good factor, this despite not winning every game but at least there was a club/player/fan bond.

AT and the lads at leigh just need to aim to get that back first and foremost, the results on & off the field will follow.

Ban any talk of SL for now and concentrate on being the best on the field, putting on the best off field entertainment on matchdays and making watching Leigh play (regardless of who the opposition is) the main thing to do in the town (and within a 7 mile radious).

We need to forget SL altogether until we know that we have the finances to be able to go in SL get hammered every week have average support and still be breaking even, then we would be in IMO financially ready for SL. Playing wise, set some targets for the seasons ahead instead of "Being able to tick a box". Why not reach the NRC final as a target instead or Grand Final appearance instead, forget SL it's never gonna happen as long as people are being born with rsholes. I'd be happy watching a good Leigh side outside SL week in week out that gave us something to look forward to, instead of flash in the pans with a half hearted promise of SL.

Something I said at the time , I want to be asked to enter SL because they desperatley want us , not because we are desperate to enter SL

And we still might not get in over toulouse,Them suckers do what they want,You need 2 up 2 down every other season.champions go straight up then a play off for second promotion.Same for superleague bottom club straight down,Then bottom half- -play off for survival,what do u think ?

Truth. Absolute truth and must be the attitude for those within the club still hoping for future wealth.

I still have a funny feeling franchising will be dropped sooner or later; its yet another badly thought out rugby league device.
