why not show the game aswel? I was so excited to see the team on the screen & thought they were playing out..... oh well

The camera or a camera was pannong around the ground today. Showing the teams coming out of the tunnel was good.

The screen looked mighty impressive today.

That was me, we have linked to the screen its only the first hurdle in a long race, I need to get more equipment to allow me to do certain things but like ive posted elsewhere unless I sell more DVD's then I cant afford to buy it, the LSV and the club are doing their share but the finances cant all be down to them.
At this moment in time it can either be game or scoreboard.
Im going to use my other camera next week with a more powerfull optical zoom if some equipment that I ordered last week arrives in time.

To do it 'properly' a couple of grand but I think I may have a solution to one of the problems I had in changing the camera feed from the 'crowd cam' (which unfortunately has no microphone input or I would use that) to the 'match cam', that may only cost a few quid, its an on going process but at last the LSV (through Ian the 'techy') the club and myself are singing from the same hymn book if not exactly from the same hymn sheet as yet.
to do it 'properly' would take a fully wireless system, two 'roving cams' and 'two static cams' a 'ballpark' figure of around £8K then the staff to operate it on match day would be 4 cam operators and an editor.
Thats what Liverpool FC use and I think Man Utd.
A simple system of a 'static cam' and a 'roving cam' plus all the fiddly bits wireless and ediing stuff, around £5K so as can be seen it aint cheap.
Be good though wouldn't it

good work Fred if everyone had your work ethic we'd be winners for sure

You could be really clever (given the dosh) and do what some theatre and shows do they have a sensor on the artist that is picked up by the remote moving spot lights so you dont need follow spot opperators. You could do this by having one in the ball and remote cameras around the ground. Then Fred you could just opperate the lense width from a nice cozy warm room over looking the pitch.

Great work all round has to be said, with regard to additional funding etc...

Do any of the local colleges/uni's do media courses?

Maybe they could offer funding and students to man the cameras as part of their course?

Could 'sky' use us as a training academy for camera operators or even video refs?
