Hoping for a nice dry night for our 1st home game v Leeds, plenty walk up speccies & a big vocal crowd (should be as both Leigh & Leeds fans like a good sing song).

Oh, & a home win would be nice.

Can't wait. Got my flight booked and will be sat right next to my Dad for the first two home games. Those days will be right up there in my top 10 days of my life as I thought I'd never get the chance to sit with him for such a moment again.

I would give all I have to watch those two games with my late Father, enjoy as you never know when it will be taken away

I'm doing what my Dad did with me back in '81. After seeing 4or5 games last season with my 11 year old. We have a season ticket together. I hope we can make some memories together watching our team.

You will, and they will never dwindle. One of my first memories I remember being taken to Wigan for I think it was the Floodlight final late 60's as a 4/5 yo last game together was Sheffield in 2011 he passed a few days later

Mo, memories are so precious, just before my Dad passed away, I took him to watch Leigh v Chorley ,it was Father's Day the game was at Hilton Park ,he couldn't stand up for long so we sat in the main stand,he said it didn't feel right sitting in the stand,said it was for the (Money Men)his place was on the opposite side near the halfway line.He never got to see the LSV,I would have loved to have taken him to watch a game from one of the Boxes.

Used to stand in the "Padock" behind the Home dugouts with the smell of Wintergreen from the bench, listening to my Dad shouting at the players (encouraging them !!!) and giving little pointers to the coaches

Fantastic post I’m sure you’ll both treasure the experience and enjoy your time together.

Like others unfortunately my time watching with my Dad ended all too soon way back in the late 70’s due to his ill health, we still managed to enjoy our weekly updates on how they’d played up to his passing in 96.

Now I am lucky enough to have my children with me whenever work allows them to make it, and hopefully in the not too distant future taking my Grandson will mean they’ll be 3 generations of us in attendance.
