Our coach got a win with his selection last week (regardless of the last 10 minutes), and Smith got a rest, win win

players like smith come good at the end of the season and don't need rests if and when he plays again he his starting from scratch

It's not just about if he needed a rest it about trying to keep everyone match fit, competition for places etc. I'd expect he'll play this week.
