How about Fev? They have a small squad but have brought a few players who might be high up on the part time championship player wage bill list. They were also the only team(part time one anyway) who could afford to pay some transfer fees and by all accounts they offered Widnes more to take Danny Craven on loan that what Fax could offer to take him permanent. Not necessarily. There is still a max percentage of relevant income allowable for all teams up to a maximum amount. So if relevant income is low, then you can soon run out of space. I also know a current Sheffield player was in discussion with leigh a few seasons back and he was on a big contract that leigh couldn't match. Wasn't it only a few weeks ago the club emailed the rfl for an increase on our cap to extend it for Brierley which they agreed, albeit after the leaving story was broke on sky. Would be strange if a couple of weeks after they had an issue with it.

Speaking of "naughty boys" I notice Bradley Knowles-Tagg is playing for Featherstone again.

After he was sacked for racist abuse against a fellow RL player a Fev official stated:

"Racism has no place in sport or society and Featherstone Rovers will not condone or tolerate behaviour such as this.

As soon as we were made aware of the allegations, we suspended the player and he has had, and will not have, any involvement with Featherstone Rovers."

Was surprised to see him back on the team sheet after such a damning statement.
