At least they've bothered to announce a new date - though I don't support either side I'll probably try to make the trip in order to see some rugby league.

That's in contrast to Saints and Wigan, who don't seem to want to replay their fixture, with Wigan announcing they'll unveil refund details soon. I can only assume the game was only arranged as a money spinner rather than an actual useful pre-season exercise as they'd surely be keen to get it played soon if the latter was true.

Whenever the match is played there,ll be people who can,t make it for one reason or another.

For those of us who can make it'from a purely selfish point of view it suits me better midweek as travelling is a lot more reliable then.

I will also miss this because i work shifts(whats wrong with this week while most people are on holiday) I will have to get a refund as i have already bought tickets for the other games.

This suits me fine ,could not have gone tomorrow and next Sunday would have been tight for time so i guess i'm lucky

you could always get a refund or transfer your ticket to the wires game.

Sounds good to me (LGFC supposed to play that night, but away at Colne so will no doubt be postponed).

I know the postponement is just unfortunate, but the rearranged date must knock quite a few hundred off the gate. Most people are back at work and will be unable to attend, me being one of them. What was wrong with Sunday 3rd January. This rearrangement must be out of Leigh's control. I can't imagine anyone being so stupid as to arrange it for Tues 5th Jan at 7:30pm without being forced to by either WMBC, Salford or the police. Leigh are going to lose quite a few thousand quid with this stupid date. They will be very lucky to get a thousand crowd on, whereas Sunday would have got 2500-3000 on. I predict a crowd of 900. Diabolical decision.

How does the fact that the LSV have now no idea how many people will be attending sit with their diktat on all ticket games?
