The person who complained about our fans bad language was sat behind me with his wife and their 2 kids.When I sat down 10 minutes before kick off we exchanged a few words about the swearing and he was upset about it and had sent his two young lads to another part of the stand.

I got the impression he was overreacting so let him get on with it .He definately knew his rugby however and we talked about Des Drummond and John Woods. He wasn,t a geordie though.

In truth I heard worse language on the train home last night from Bolton to Salford.

I have posted this before but anyone who thinks young kids don,t swear or would never swear is being oversensative. I know some will think if kids hear a bit of swearing at a sporting event they will be corrupted for life.

Agreed I didn't quite get to hear all the game but from what I did, I didn't hear anything untoward.

The atmosphere was great yesterday. Loud and intimidating yes but never threatening and at times hilarious. the '5 burgers if you win' for the tug of war was a quality chant
