It's very hard to win a game the more you lose and I think the lads realized today it was now or never - they came out with a fresh approch to attack and throw the ball about abit. In the first half we looked very relaxed in attack and defended for our lifes. Sheffield had an overlap and Leigh shirts can out of nowhere to defend and hold them up over the line and on the touchline we got numbers in and put pressure on them and ended up putting them into touch.

We scored some good tries, Nanyn was always a threat and was my MOM - did very well to score his two tries and set up Durbins.

We just dropped our concentration levels for abit in the 2nd half Armistead had a brain fart that could have cost up the game whilst he also got caught on the last tackle but we did well to respond after they had come back to 18-18 and that showed me that we have some character in the squad.

I thought Hill, Taylor, Nanyn and Watson were all immense for us today, I was very impressed with Hemmingway and his kicking game and how he took alot of pressure of Watson. Maden had a solid game something i've not said for a while.

Thought Aaron Smith was MOTM. Nanyn was immense and can score from 10 yards out in one in three attempts. Just give him more ball!

Maden had is best game of the year whilst our left side got more ball today than the whole of the season put together.

It is hard to criticise any of our lads today and several had their best games this season.

What did disturb me however was when Chris Hill went off for his well deserved rest Sheffield scored 3 tries and if the coaching staff watch Fred,s dvd they,ll know why.

On the whole though I feel a lot better of our chances of survival after todays result.

And for those who think that teams who finish in the relegation spots should be exempt from being relegated did you think today was as exciting from the fans point of view as winning a Grand Final?

Today was well worth the entrance money but had we not been in the position we are in would the players AND fans have put in the effort they did today.

he stayed with his man because cover players were coming across. The cover player missed the tackle. Tbh i thought that was good play.

I beg to differ - he was the man closest to the player with ball in hand. His job was to tackle, not worry about others but I suppose we all see things a little differently at times (but this passage of play was directly in front of me)

...but then he would not have been in 2 minds and no-one could critise him for taking the man with the ball, and who knows what the player with ball in hand would have done.
