| Probably because clubs were not consulted and have told the RFL to go luv themselves supported by SL clubs who would not tolerate this in the future, and so do not want to set a precedent

Me thinks Perez is trying to make control the situation- could be a big test for the RFL this

| Regardless of weather or ground maintenance. If you can't meet the fixture then it gets back logged and you meet whatever alternative arrangement is made. If that ends up having to be three games in a week, then tough get on with it. We did.

But this must have been agreed by the RFL as a minimum, which if so shows them up for what they are, which is bordering on incompetent
I'm sue Leeds could have argued something similar with their ground situation but they seem to have planned accordingly to avoid a fixture farce

| Why all the speculation about Toronto or the RFL or the SL, just sit tight chaps it is not as though the first game is next week, there's nigh on 3 months before kick off.
On another subject, if true re Salfords financial situation and the forthcoming meeting they have with the RFL re Salford having the abillity to carry on in the SL, then that could be far more interesting in who would replace them?

Well it surely wouldn't be Toronto would it, as they have stated hey will only upgrade their ground as and when they reached the promised land - and therefore not in a position to do so at short notice, unlike another club I could name

| It's important everyone knows if a similar arrangement has been promised for the eights should the Woolpack get there. Would be outrageous if they special dispensation.

Tell you what, the Toronto situation is food for thought, when the RFL consider the inevitable 'expansionist' applications from the likes of the Martians - how much do we know about their playing surfaces, and climate, especially in February/March?
And, is there any truth in the rumour that the query over Toronto's fixtures, is because they have asked to play their home games in October/November, and the RFL are working out how to fit the '8's in to start the following season?

We're not looking to be fast tracked, we want to earn our SL spot so you M62 folk have a little bit less to complain about, so much on your plates already right?
I don't think anyone is going to be going up in Salfords place, if anything their spot will be up for grabs in 2019 if they don't get relegated somehow but aren't financially viable.
Which means that the Championship will open up to a game between the League 1 Champs vs. SL drops outs as our first of three meetings. Clean sweep for TWP or will you guys get a win or draw in there?

I think they'd want to avoid the same arrangement in the 8s. Three away games to start with would put pressure on them at home. Though I wouldn't be surprised if they had to play 2 away to start with.

We played 3 away and 4 at home in Leageu 1 in the 8's, expecting something similar in 2018

I believe we've just asked for the same, but with Salford and Widnes also requiring the same the amstrad pc is struggling to fit all the requests in.
It should be TW's responsibility to provide a suitable facility to house matches during the regular season, I understand most of Canada now has sanitation, running water and electricity therefore under soil heating can't be far away for any early season games at home

There's always the straw option as well, Mo. Bongser recalls that on at least one occasion (playing one of the Cumbrian clubs he thinks) the straw that had been cleared to the extremities of the Hilton Park pitch was set alight to the general amusement and relative warmth of all hardy souls in attendance.
Not sure how the advertisers at the Lamport would react to their hoardings being first obscured and then incinerated though.
