I can't see RB going anywhere. From an outsider looking in it seems clear to me that his aim is to play in Super League for Leigh. The squad that has been assembled for this year certainly looks capable of making the step if they gel together properly by the time the 8's come around. I just don't see that he will miss the opportunity of trying to achieve the goal set out. If you do not make Super League for next season then that could be a different story, but the here and now says that Ryan will be at Leigh this season striving to achieve Super League status. Just another journalist with a bit of time on his hands wanting to write 'non stories' in the off season in my opinion. But, I have been wrong before, I didn't think that Rangi would sign for you and look what happened! Sorry for jumping on your board, but I know what it is like to have all this lazy 'journalism' thrown at the club you love - we've had plenty of the cr*p in previous seasons.

Feel free to jump on the board especially when you're going to post something sensible. Ryan wants to play SL but he's a smart lad & knows if he jumps ship to Leeds, Warrington, or any of the big SL clubs he's not going to be playing SL, he's going to be playing at Featherstone or down in League 1 on dual code. He could probably play for a struggling lower SL club but hopefully in a year's time Leigh will be in that position, a big gamble when he seems so happy at Leigh to take a small step forward today which could be a giant leap backwards in a year's time. Think he'll see out his contract and assess his position at the end of this season.

The immediate problem seems to be, where does Brierley play? Rangi Chase happy and playing to his potential versus Brierley =? The fact remains when Ridyard got injured in the middle 8's, Brierley unfortunately didn't step up and for me at least, his defence was very poor. It seems when it got tough against stronger opposition, he lost interest. So, who do you want peaking at 7 if and when they hit the middle 8's this year?

With a in form Brierley it should be Rangi and Ryan at 6 & 7. Injury to Gregg however has clouded the team decisions, I also think Pownall struggled badly with his positional play and defence when he moved there v Wire. Tough decision for Jukesy.

Why would you publically say you're not going anywhere, when you are? Nobody to blame in Rowley and Brierleys departure but Derek Beaumont I am afraid.

FYI - Brierley is going nowhere. He's a Centurion.

Explain other than the clause in your contract. Plus you misunderstand. The point I am making is he isn't saying it when given the opportunity to do so, so in a lot of people's eyes he maybe isn't committed to the cause. Hopefully even if he is going he won't let it detract from his efforts for Leigh.

But for the fans of other clubs I’d never know what our directors or players are up to or what their contracts say.
