There was no parachute payment. It was just enhanced prize money for bottom 2 in SL compared to top 2 in Championship....bit like the split this year. I was told that the term was invented by a journalist not RFL.

After already spending a lot of money on big signings this year and it not coming off in the way Leigh had hoped. Why not invest in the youth at the club? There are some talented young players at Leigh, but they will never play first team as Leigh are just interested in money and big names.

Reluctantly I no longer think we can afford to have Gareth Hock in our team. He seems to be blighted by the Referees (his own doing really) Leigh have given him a chance however, when that red mist comes down he loses all control and it invariably costs our team! I think Widnes must have scored two or three tries of his attempted 'offloads' he has done the same thing in previous games, at Halifax was a prime example. I'm sorry to admit this but we cannot afford to have him in our line up any longer! |

Reluctantly I agree with you. The guy is a talented player, but is too easily rattled. It's bad enough coughing up possession by dropping (not just Gareth) /releasing the ball, but to concede 40/50 yards and six more tackles off penalties, (not just Gareth) is just unforgivable. |

It's in his DNA! He has his personal problems, that's why you were able to sign him. You seem to have taken on more of the same for next season. |

I have disagreed with kirkhall in the past but on this he is spot on.
I was not happy when we signed Hock but was prepared to give him a chance. Yes, he has produced some good stuff for us but IMO the debits outweigh the credits - get rid.
And now we've signed another expensive maverick in Rangi  |

Well I rate Hock very highly.
Yesterday wasn't his best game but imo he is a great talent and I think we will see that next season.
