Why would I give it a rest just because my opinion on some things differs from yours? Hardly troublemaking.

To be fair to him, reffy has a point about some of us leythers having the blinkers on when it comes to our own teams faults. Whether we are starting the trouble or responding to niggle from the opposition, we need to cut down on it. We have a good team capable of playing amazing rugby, why not concentrate on that side of the game?

Fev were a grubby bunch of gits on Sunday and I do believe they started most of the crap that went on. But we showed when we concentrated on playing that we could score points easily against them. Imagine how big the score would've been if we had concentrated on playing for the full 80!

I'm sure we would like concentrate on playing the full 80. however, like you say Fev started most of the crap, and if the ref fails to handle the situation it becomes very frustrating. Maitua nearly knocked emmitt's yed into next week and the ref was stood right in front of it, and didn't even give a penalty. Now Maitua has been charged with a grade b offence.
And fwiw, i'm not enjoying hock's contribution to the team at the moment.

I think the problem was more the last half hour, where there was a few bits of handbags, when really we could have got on with the game and racked up a few points. Looked like Hock was given the role of enforcer to stick up for the backs, which is fine, but need to be better at seeing when to get involved. The scuffles in the last half hour were more detrimental to our game than Fev's.

As for Hock, jury's still out for me, but some of the reaction to him was unfair when you consider what Wood and Maitua did. But personally, if there is an "enforcer" in the side, it should be Goulden, Beswick or Wilkes.

Well if hock was given the enforcer role then I'm shaking my head here. With his reputation he should just keep well out of it. I'm all for the lads looking after each other and not being bullied,but hock's antics are just not necessary.

I can understand why other teams fans/coaches/players see us as a right pain in the booty, because we are.

We do niggle, we do laugh at their mistakes, we do have a one in all in policy, we probably do have more than our fair share of 'enforcers', we may need a parking permit at Red Hall etc etc.

But the negative stuff we do is by far out weighed by the good stuff, I haven't checked but I think we've scored more and conceded less than anyone in either of the top two divisions, we play in the main good entertaining expansive rugby, we regularly score back to back tries (think we scored 3 against Batley without them touching the ball apart from KO), we regularly score 80m plus tries passing it through several players, we're on a club record winning run, we've beat as many SL teams this season as we did when we were in it, LSV is a great fortress, our crowds are growing, we've got a passionate young coach who's building a team willing to literally fight for the cause, we've just gone Full time, we're attracting 'named' players. We're regularly on the BBC and when was the last time SKY, or any of the SL clubs passed an interest in us?

Of course we could and probably should improve on discipline, and concentrate more on the good stuff but in reality I can't see us changing any time soon.

And after watching Leigh for going on 50yrs I think its great that we are once again a team who's punching above our weight and ruffling a few feathers.

It doesn't happen that often so enjoy it.
