Yes it crossed my mind Ryan may not play another competitive match again until 2017. He is a contracted Leigh Centurions player who hold his registration until 30th November 2016. It may be that Ryans team may need to go to court to prove otherwise.

One would hope it does not come to that and an agreement / fee can be negotiated with Leigh to release him.

Very possibly especially as Derek claims his get out clause is unenforceable. Arguably that's the best outcome for Leigh. Don't think he can play for us again after this, after trying to undermine the club when negotiating his contract & his comments about Jukes. However if we let him go I think he'll play against us, either by signing for a Championship club, signing for a lower SL club we'll play in the Super 8s or by signing to a top SL club then being sent out on Dual Code. If he does go think we'll need a "He can't play against us this season" clause.

Exactly- so why not just wait...... If it was greed as suggested above (and no one on here has accused him of that before) It doesn't make sense to me as he could actually find himself In a worse situation-. So that suggests there's more to it. There's something not quite right behind the scenes.

Possibly because there are a lack of half backs out there at the minute,and injuries are evident.His chance for SL is better now than it will be 10 weeks down the line.Whether or not other clubs want to take him on given the way this has unfolded and still a disciplinary to contend with I'm not sure what he has planned.Could be a holiday in Canada who knows.

Perhaps they wouldn't take him on now- but they can take him on in November- for free regardless.

if he's wanted now he will surely be wanted for the business end.
If Beaumont has any sense he will put him on the transfer list and take the cash now... He won't get anything else out if this situation otherwise. Take the money offered and wave bye bye.
Seems odd to me that one of your "star players" that fans have idolised has made himself a baddy- ok it may be about money, it may be he thinks his career is being held back- I can go for that. Wouldn't be the first time a player has acted like a primadonna - BUT your most successful coach in recent times has also left under odd circumstances- I just don't get why someone in his situation would go for no apparent reason. You can't have a discussion based on speculation. The fact is when Rowley left confidentiality was broken by someone,Rfl operational rules were broken by someone,that's the guy who needs naming and shaming,the guy who stuck it in the public domain making it a free for all the same guy who's made us look like a circus because of his actions not DB's.Find him and you'll find your answers.

Regardless of agent involvement. Name any player whose precise contract details have got in the press month in month out for the last 12 months or so. All the players you named there are SL or NRL and he is not bold enough to dick around those clubs. He clearly needs Ryan minus a contract to earn a big wedge for himself and Ryan.

What do you make of the report that on GMR Ryan supposedly said he had not put his notice in. Yet 'his' Saturday statement said he had I think.

Jeez you guys are being put through it, obviously some person/people are pulling some ones wire on this and it really is getting beyond a joke.
If it was me I think I'd just be glad to see the back of him after the speculation of the last 12 months but with the other injuries it is really putting a strain on your squad. Hopefully you'll come out of it and finish one place below us in the top 4.
