I had to watch this 3 times to work out who the 4th official is (and I'm still guessing as he looks like someone who has nothing to do with officiating) and that the contact with the 4th official was when he pushed him away as he surprised Hock by approaching him from the side of the mess. Are 4th officials not supposed to wear some kind of outfit that clearly identifies who they are. If not then that needs to be addressed. If yes and a grey hoody and sweat pants is it, then that needs to be addressed. If yes and he was not wearing it, then the 4th official needs to be dealt with not Hock.
Either way I agree with Reffy on this one, the contact with the official charge should be flushed.

He did, but my point is that they were 'hadbags' compared with what happened in the incident in the Warrington v Leeds game - and they got one match each. Of course, neither of them was Gareth Hock!

Correct,he broke the rules.He should get a grade C for entering the field of play without permission and grade D for touching an official player.

apology means nowt, however Hock appears to be defending himself after being punched about 3 times from what i can see.
the "match official" i asked someone in work to point him out they picked the wrong person twice when i pointed who it was they said :looks like a physic or something" and the question is why was he on the sidelines in the first place.

The match official charge on Hock is clearly unsustainable imo. Re retaliation how many punches would you take b4 u reacted ?

The brawl was fairly bad & Hock does go round looking for the player while Acton really gets stuck in too. However Dan Fleming (was it?) runs in & starts punching Emmitt off the ball gets a 1 match ban for it grade B. Hock wanders round & starts punching a player in some pushing and shoving, Grade D. How two so similar incidences get so differently graded is beyond me, it's almost as if a different person has graded the Leigh players & Swinton players. Grade D for Micky's throw is also farcical. Hopefully sense will prevail & we won't be without player for too long, however this is Hock we're talking about so officials could decide on anything.

Having watched the 'Brawl' i'm staggered how we have finished up with so many double 'Ds' we've got more than Dolly Parton!!
Leigh need to get the best 'Brief' they can afford because it appears to be witch hunt for our players!
The Rugby League Press and Media already had our players Hung,Drawn and Quartered before they'd even seen the incidents!
Hocks 'Contact with an Official' charge is outrageous and must be vigorously challenged ! How was Gareth supposed to know who he was ? he was dressed in normal clothing ad carrying a Notepad which, suggested he could have been any Swinton Official with no right to be on the field of play, just like the multitude of other people! as for contact.
I wonder if there was as much Contact as our Borough Neighbours are alleged to have made on their Public day out
