Why have tv games int first place ,when we get no dosh off premier sports?

As we all know (?) Brian Noble is a summariser on the Rugby on premier Sports and he reckons it's looking like Monday nights though he hasn't heard anything official as yet.

I'm going to struggle to go any away games on whatever night hey pick.

I'd have to book half a day off as I only finish at 5 and have half an hours journey to get home

Its now less than 3 weeks to start of season, and we still dont know for certain what day or which fixtures have been selected. It really is not good enough, players/fans and clubs need to plan, and that is impossible with not knowing.

They really need to tell people soon !

Have the 'TBC' fixtures now been confirmed as per the fixtures on the website or is that still to be sorted ?

If its still not sorted does anyone at the club have any idea as to when that will be confirmed as its been a few weeks since the original press release.

I presume all other matches are confirmed 3PM Kick off Sundays unless picked for TV.

Worse deal in the history of Sport, we get nothing, games are played at times that no-one likes usually at Stadiums that are anything but full because as fans night games are not convenient for many.

Keighley will be moved to the Saturday with a 6 30pm kick off.

I think Premier Sports should be told to Foxtrot Oscar, either pay up or do one. How has this deal even gone ahead? Did the clubs sign up for it? or were they told by the RFL that they would lose the RFL funding if they did not agree? I think we should be told. Any comment from the board about the deal?

I think and I may be wrong that the club's despite not happy with the exact terms of the deal agreed to it in order to secure TV exposure. How you utilise that exposure is then in all the club's hands.

It may also have actually enhanced central funding to clubs from bigger sponsorship revenue generated on the back of a live TV deal. Ie Co-Operative.

I agree sometimes it pays to look outside of someone's personal world and opinion and look at the broader picture, I'm sure it works for our club so companies like O2 and Evans Halshaw amongst others will get at least a little TV exposure per season, do people not think that is why Kingstone Press have put sponsorship into the game and the LSV, SKY TV and Premier sports enjoy coming to places like ours because the stadium is so TV Friendly in terms of setting up and facilities for them.
Plus I cant see many TV stations cueing up to show our sport on TV.

BUT I do agree there should be some loss of revenue factor to the individual clubs plus they have created a precedence in recording games from a Sunday and showing them midweek

I don't know but would be happy to know if the clubs are/were actually consulted about the matter/deal???
