This kid is dynamite and we now have a trio of quality halfbacks, all of which will put their bodies on the line in attack and defence. Not many halfback will tackle what ever comes their way, and we now have 3 of them !

Adrian Lam on record post summer bash saying that the club and playing group know that the current make-up of the squad will change as the numbers (of international players) don’t work for the future, but that they are all focused on making this season memorable.
He also said
“We still have some really good signings to announce” in reference to next season.
No guarantees but I’m more confident than ever that if we make it, we can stick this time.

Well. What do we think of Nene to Leeds and Ricky Leutele to. Leigh. Having not seen much of him over here, only on highlights, I cannot make my mind up if this is an upward move or not. Nene now banned for three matches and doesn’t seem to be scoring as prolifically as earlier in the season.

An interesting question but all is just conjecture right now.
Both have positives and negative (though Leutele’s only one is age but he’s only 32 so should be good for a couple more top end seasons).
In Derek, A Lam and Co we trust. They have not made many of any bad decisions as a group so far.

Leigh at present can and do score from all over the pitch. The ball is going wide less often as why risk throwing it about when you can batter your way to the sticks. If you are only seeing highlights in NZed, you won't see the number of drives that the centres and wings take in for their forwards.

When Inu caught the ball for his try on Sunday, he was hardly tiptoeing down his touchline. Likewise Fergy being fed by Mellor the match before.

Lots of SL clubs want Nene but he has signed up for Leigh and Bongser would be sad to see him go after his part in this very special season.

Yes Bongser I would be sorry to see him go also. He was one of the early signings of what is now a very good squad. However the very good friendship with Rohan Smith is what is driving this. No Rohan at Leeds then we probably wouldn’t have anything to discuss regarding Nene.

I personally think Nene's game has changed somewhat, or rather his role may have been tweaked since the start of the season.

His scoring may have dropped off but his carries and line breaks make up for it and his defence is getting better.

Just my Opinion but I think Leutele is a more complete player. Nene has the size, no doubt about that, and his work rate is very good but his defence is Shocking really.

Saying that, I would be happy to keep him too as defence can be improved with good coaching.

Started hearing stuff about Taylor moving from Hull to you lot a few weeks ago. Any of you lot heard anything?

Nope nothing. He appears to still have a year left on his contract.

He does but he's a top earner at Hull and we're wanting to freshen up our squad.

You need some British players too.

It could be balls, but I've heard it from one or 2 places now.
