They need to do something radical if they are to keep the SKY contract. Staying at 12 teams and introducing a French derby between Catalans and Toulouse isn't going to do it on its own. I know the SL would not go for this suggestion because of their own selfish self-interests, but I would expand SL to 16 teams and The Champ to 20 teams, with 2 up 2 down and a top 8 play-off. I would also get rid of Rimmer from the RFL and allow any team that could sustain Academy and Reserves to do so. The Academy and Reserves are the lifeblood of all teams and to deny all teams this opportunity is turning young blood away from the game. These next 2 years should be spent on securing the roots of this game and all teams should use these next 2 years to ensure they have a sustainable future because SKY will probably pull the plug after this 2 year period.

Graham , I agree about Sky withdrawing their backing unless something radical happens , the trouble is I don’t think the RFL think the same way , SKY money is everything to the game , without it a Few clubs won’t survive .
Which is why I think Derek is so important to Leigh .I think our fate of relegation is obvious now ,and we need to act NOW, Derek must announce a Head of Rugby at once , and Haggerty offers nothing what we didn’t already have , so again he must be relieved of his post .I’m not sure what happens with the Aussies we have signed or Tompkins , hopefully stay as they are , we still have a decent following , and the Fans must be looked after .I await the views of Maurice , Monty , and Harry .?

I didn’t go to the game last night , my daughter had a film of hers premiered in Manchester last night , I was so proud of her , since Covid she hasn’t done any Theatre work , but has been making films ,about 100 people turned up last night , it was brilliant .Hope to see ya soon , I think we play Salford next , I will be there .

(they're on the move again lol ) These next 2 years are about ensuring your club remains financially feasible because SKY will dump Rugby League and I can't see anyone else wanting it. 2024 could see the game reverting back to part-time amongst most clubs and they've only themselves to blame for wasting most of the cash on self-interest and over-the-hill imports. It's also about time they changed the name from Super League to something actually containing the words Rugby League. They didn't have the foresight to protect the name Super League so now every man and his dog has a Super League.

Graham , my daughter like most people have had a difficult time through Covid , hitting Theatres very hard , but she is now feeling refreshed and we are very chuffed for her .

I think Rugby in general needs to sort itself out , over the past few years all SL players have been in a good number with Sky’s money , but if Sky withdraw then it will be a very harsh wake up call for a few Clubs.I really hope we are not relegated but I’m not confident like I was , mainly down to the SL clubs greed about not wanting to share the Pot , but a share of nothing is nothing if Sky pull out , which is why I think there is still hope yet .

It will be interesting to see what happens to the Aussie players and Tomkins , if we go down , really only Mellor has signed for us , I’m a big Ryan Brierley fan ,and said the Team should be built around him , yet I’ve been told he has or is ready to sign for Salford , and Derek knows this .

Some very hard decisions must be made very soon , if not sooner , it’s obvious young Haggerty is NOT the bloke to Coach us , he has offered nothing different than JD ,even his post match interviews are sounding the same .We as fans need to see something happening , not just marking time , and hoping for a stay of execution

Everyone knows I like Derek ,and I hope he stays on to guide us back to a successful Club , but from what I heard Ryan went to him and told him of Salford’s interest , and Derek called his bluff, a pity really , Ryan has been very good this year and I would have had him and Mellor as my halves next year .

I’m not sure what the future holds , but I do know the Club will have to reduce its prices next season on both season tickets and match day tickets to get decent crowds .Cmon Maurice I would like to know your stance on the situation ??

Ian, it's poor management if you ask me. I thought Ryan has been one of the standouts this year,so to keep him would have been a smart move. What is Derek thinking of?
