I think that sums it up perfectly. Yes, the timing of his departure was awful, but we have to ask what caused him to leave the club he was so attached to. As with many departures over the past few years (e.g Brierley, Ridyard, McNally, Hopkins) we have only heard the club's spin on events. As always in life, there are two sides to every story, and we have only been hearing one of them, for some time now. I will never be convinced that we heard a balanced view of young Brierley's departure. Yes, he may have been ambitious - indeed I hope he was/is - but having got to know him a bit, in his time at Leigh, I will never believe that he was the 'villain' he was portrayed to be, leading up to his departure.

Like I say, Paul may not be my cup of tea, personally, but I don't think we have seen a better coach at the club since - especially if he has learned from the Middle 8's disaster of 2016 - and I believe much of that was caused by the pressure of having to finish top of the league, rather than 'pace' the squad for the 8's.

For me Paul has done nowhere near as much damage to the Club as Beaumont, it could take us 10 to 20 years to recover from his egoistic plans, I'm glad to see the back of him , and hope we never see his like again in charge of the Club.
He claims to love and care for the Club, what a load of Coal.

Without his input at the time, where do you think we would be:

a) at the time
b) now

You've started to show a lot of bitterness towards him recently, and that's entirely up to you, he's made poor choices but we have to look forward, blame solves nothing

Be like Halifax... get into the qualifiers most seasons (take the money from the RFL but spend very little of it) ....then lose every game !
