| I cant see why lots are righting us off. We have some good young kids in that squad with a point to prove, and if our triangle of 9,6 and 7 can move them ageing Toronto forwards around the park, anything can happen.
Good luck to them and i for one will pyyyyysssss miself if we win today and when we meet them in the middle 8's !

| I personally think we can win. I may be wrong but agree with Snowy. I’m wondering who we will see at 1, 6, 7, 9 but if our younger forwards can give them a base we have a good chance.
I think we will see a close game and heat will be a factor for both teams. The Toronto players are no more acclimatised than the younger Leigh players, since they’ve only been here a few weeks and it’s not been 33 degrees for much of that.
Budge, you are welcome to your opinion but why ignore your own team on game day. I’ve come here to support our team, the same way that I get up at 7am every Sunday to listen to commentary, read Mark Taylor twitter updates or sometimes just watch on line score updates.

Hear Hear to that. Well done VL: some people probably don't realise you have travelled almost as far as from Leigh to watch the game. You are always around on here when Leigh are playing so you deserve a home game!! My main problem re the heat is how it will affect the recovery of the players for a tough game at Batley next week. Enjoy the game: hope you will be wearing something so we can recognise you on the TV.

Batley is my worry as well to be honest
Not beyond us to win today which would be a bonus, but having 17 raring to go next Sunday has to be the aim

Cheers Brian.
I’m here to support the lads but also because i had a plan to do this with my Dad if Leigh and Toronto ended up in the same league. That wasn’t to be, but he will be here in spirt as I’m wearing his shirt that I got him. The “O2 Leigh” shirt that has his name in the number patch on the back with all the sponsoring fans from a few years back. He wore it to every game, including his last ever, when we beat saints last year. I was lucky enough to be sat right with him that day.
He loved our club and spent a lifetime supporting them, so I’m never going to miss a chance to represent him and support our team. Whether it’s at a game in Toronto or desperately trying to find the fastest score updates when we don’t have commentary or Mark Taylor in Toulouse

| Good man, VL. Think we'll need a big contribution from our collective XVIIIth man today but Bongser (along with you)is ever the optimist. Keep cool, VL!
Has anyone considered 20 minute quarters being introduced whenever the mercury passes a certain point (as in last year's World Cup)? Toronto's (reportedly) dwindling coffers may be bolstered by charging top (Canadian) dollar for supporters hydrating in house, but what of the dangers to the players? Yes, it could benefit older teams the more, but surely no one wants heat stroke all round. Not this one anyway.
Go Leythe!

| Quote: charlie caroli "Are the missing lads injured or just tactical?Bongser was spotted in Blackpool this week with a couple of the squad, probably high atmosphere training.'"
Good evening, Charles, hope you are, in turn, hoping for a Leigh win despite your posted prediction.
Bongser was indeed in Blackpudlia this week. One Mrs Hall had engaged him to play The Tower Ballroom Wurlitzer as an accompaniment to a dance-athon into which she had coerced her husband, Craig. Some nice moves from the latter, it has to be said, especially in the slow foxtrot. Said dance-athon finally finished at 4pm today allowing Bongser (and a certain other person) insufficient time to get to the game in Canada!
As to "high atmosphere training", Bongser, like Russ, loves a party with a happy atmosphere. This he and the wurlitzer achieved by popping in and out of the floor, not unlike the witch in "Chorlton & The Wheelies" but bare-buttocked as Monty Python would like it (and indeed one Uncle Monty - thankfully not in attendance).
In his rest breaks (when the more demurely clad ghost of Reginald Dixon took over the manuals & pedals), Bongser took some of the injured Leythe players paddling that they might benefit from the experimental new Lion's Mane Jellyfish Sting Treatment. They should be back to run uphill and down dale next week.
Up The Comics!
PS: The dance-athon raised a total of £3.73 plus four washers, a chewed piece of spiggy, some pre Euro currency and one JB (used). The last entailed the largest single spend!

Good Evening Bongser, I'm sat here alone in Caroli Towers ,the Carolis are all in Wiggin for a family BBQ, even Barney Clubber Lang has gone with them.
So I'm ready for the game to start, on Premier Sports, and I will be cheering the Mighty Leythers on loudly, really hoping for a win, despite my prediction.Last weeks win over Dews was a great week end for me, great weather, even though us gingers burn easily, and I was accompanied by my eldest daughter Danni, she's back with the Family and it was like owd times, another Leyther cheering the lads on.
The Carolis spent yesterday in sunny Blackpool,my Red Nose melted 3 times in the heat, but I'm revived now ready for the game, cmon you Leythers.

| Just back in Vancouver after a 5am rise and a long flight. I swear it took twice as long as the flight going, may have something to do with a few to many beers yesterday with the fantastic Leythers I met. The Toronto fans were very welcoming and the craft beer garden is a great touch. Hats off also to the leigh players who came into the beer garden and mingled with the fans after the game.
Had a great time despite the loss. All the best everyone I met, especially the fox hunt stag party guys
