| Quote: ColD "Do you seriously think we will get relegated ??
Not having a go at you because you've been on this forum for yonks, but the doom and groomers come out of the woodwork at the first sign of a crisis
As frustrating and annoying as it is, now is the time for the true fans to get behind the CLUB, not just the team, THE CLUB. A shock for us all to be where we are but we all have to grind it out'"
Cold - at the moment if this carries on we are a very good bet for relegation. Are we getting an experienced coach? Is DB leaving? Why are the players going through the motions? The fans need to know exactly what is going on because a lot of these players aren't interested and that isn't fair on the paying fans. We need answers.

| Top 4 in the Championship needs a minimum of 30 points and possibly 32 points. Over 23 games, that means losing (ignoring draws) 7 or possibly a maximum of 8 games. Leigh have already lost 5 games which means that they need to turn things round big style to make the top 4! Relegation - no chance, they may not be performing, but you have far too many (potentially) good players.

| Something is 'not right' at the club. So we have signed some players who (so far) look quite ordinary, but to lose 5 out of the first 6 league games is pathetic.

| I remember Halifax bearing is 66:6 in Rowleys first stint in charge. I was more gutted about that result than today’s.
Until an experienced coach comes in then I fear for the future. Smith or Iro please.

Indeed Tom , however that Fax team were indeed ' on fire ' and did similar to many other teams over a couple of seasons , no disrespect to the current team , but they aren't of that calibre , and neither were we considered to be

| I really don't know the answer to our current situation
It's so upsetting to see us play so poorly week in week out
I'm going to carrying on supporting the lads as Mickey asked us too after the game

| Quote: Harold Rigby Jnr "Come on Col, when you have watched this club for 'Donkeys years' and just been up to Halifax as I have and watched that debacle from one of the most expensively ever assembled Leigh teams ? Never have I seen a FT team so devoid of desire, passion or pride in our shirt.
I will tell you something else Col, you may as well give me a shirt and I will promise you this. I may not be up for it, but I will still give my all in that shirt, and I would at least bloody care about it..
I am cross tonight, very much so. You can still be a true fan and call out garbage when it is garbage being served up.
68.18 was a truer reflection of the scoreline. We scored 2 very fortuitous opportunist tries in our 3 scored.
Simply unacceptable. Rubbish.'"
Same goes to yourself HRJ, I'm sure everybody's hurting at the moment, and your more than welcome to express your feelings - clearly there's been a serious error in our recruitment program
My issue is with the valvehunters of this world who didn't exist on here until it has gone t1ts up.
The likes of yourself, like me, will be here come what may - and that's what we want

I attended my first game - so i have been informed at the age of 6 in 1959 - and I have been going ever since through a lot more thin than thick times, even when we have not performed to our potential it had a reason.
But, this class of 2018 really has me flummoxed, I was not sorry to see Mr Jukes leave, he could really have you scratching your head with his selections and his over cautious brand of football which turned out forlorn anyway, it seems he adopted the same plan with this new group, but one thing he did not do was to tell them not to be interested on the field.
Keiron Cunningham good nay very good player, but since taking up the tracksuit and shirt and tie his results in anything he has been involved in has gone belly-up, is he a Jonah - perhaps that should have been his name not his son's - nothing seems to work for him.
Even giving his shortcomings I actually feel sorry for Mr Beaumont, he has done everything with the best intentions for Leigh RLFC, if a lot of it has been by his own fruition he has wasted a lot of money, if he has been given advise by people within the club in his employ then get shut.
But back to this team, they are like an ailing man on his death bed who has given up and is awaiting the inevitable, a miracle cure needs to be found and quick but is there enough money in the kitty to finance the treatment before Dr Beaumont gives up and pulls the plug?

| I didn't see the Fax game, fortunately, however it is without doubt a shocking performance/result. Looking at our back line, I actually thought it looked stronger than at any time last season? The forwards are not as competitive or cohesive! Our 'defence' is appalling worst for years! we don't seem to have a 'sliding defence' anymore and that's why teams ship the ball wide and we are done!
We've seen NJ walk however there appear to be more culpable culprits also?
This Forum is becoming a Haven for critics however, its people with answers we need not, I told you so's!
If DB has got wrong then I hope he stays and fights to put it right, he has done it before and, he can do it again but the fans will have stay too !

| Not saying I told you so but I’ve saved close to a oner by not going this season so far.
It’s all well and good people saying support the team and if we as fans go then...
How can anyone blindly support a team you have no confidence or faith in. I’ll always support Leigh. But I’m not spending money to watch a team who I’ve no faith in. To those who do go every week regardless. More power to you. It takes a big man/woman to do that. I’ve done it years ago to goto games knowing full well we’d lose. I’ve not got that drive anymore.
There seems to be deep deep rooted issues. We all thought Paul Cooke was the problem last season.
With regard to Cunningham. I was under the impression he was brought in to be the face of the club. To make us more of an attraction. Like him or loathe him. He’s respected who gives Leigh a draw.
Getting rid of Ridyard for Hutchinson. Any coach in the world would have made that swap. Let’s not kid ourselves we wouldn’t.
Incoming coach. Experience needed. Iro. Smith. Elliot.

| I’ll also guess that any English club who isn’t in Super League after the MPG is finished anyway with regard to the restructure. This will be the drawbridge up once and for all.

Balls to em. We can have our own league. Eventually they'll come crying back once a few of their number go bust. Salford look doomed to me and if a few others lost their backers they'd be completely screwed.
Anyway on the Leigh situation I'd say the most critical thing is to get a coach in that the players respect and want to play for. Obviously letting Jukes go hasn't remedied anything and there's been no new coach "bounce" as players try to impress the new boss. You need an experienced man, please don't look in our direction
Recruitment has been a mess with far too many ins and outs. It takes time to build a spirit in a club and it appears to an outsider as if this has drained away slowly over the past year or so and accelerated recently. You need to stop the rot before you finish outside the top 4. However talk of relegation is crazy IMO.
