I personally can't imagine Derek opening his door to a "fans discussion" after the way the "fans meet the players" evening and the way they were dismissive of certain questions / opinions.

Zulu01, I heard Derek stormed out of the ground on Sunday evening,after the game not to pleased,I think we have all heard his threats to walk , but hopefully he will have calmed down now and look at the wider picture that is Leigh Centurions.
Though IF he did walk and decided to sell his shares I've been told a couple of interested parties might be ready to take the helm,maybe a couple of familiar faces.
Though again Derek has probably calmed down now , we need the guy , but life would go on if he left.Charlie knows.

But on to the point in question, does LISA not have regular meetings anymore?

Not sure what it would achieve but perhaps that would be the route to form a select group of supporters who would like to meet with DB.

Glow , I've said the same thing, not heard much from LISA for a while now, maybe a meet with DB could help clear the air and put the negative feelings behind us , I'm sure our competitors are loving the unrest.

Some great points and love it or hate it, web 2.0 and social media has brought business and 'customers' closer which is critical for their survival as competition increases. Ultimately, the stronger the connection, the more 'customers' spend/invest. And Derek has a few bridges to build it seems with recent outburts. Key areas and as WYSIWYG alludes to are respect for the club, its history and the town. It's good to have someone stand up for 'Leigh,' but don't embarass 'us' in the process.

If there are some other interested investors waiting in the wings won't they come on board right now, or is DB the barrier to investing?

Well, he's at a point where he needs to make his mind up once and for all. If he wants to stick it out and try and get back into SL, then he has to invest in a new half back asap.

A positive story for you to hold on to. My wife was diagnosed with brain tumour in June 2014..... It was Glioblastoma Multiforme Stage 4. Median survival of 14 months. She has survived 2 craniotomies, radiotherapy and chemotherapy. It's not been easy but she has a strong will to survive. She is not the woman she was but she still has a decent quality of life. I have given up a lot of the things I used to enjoy to be there for her. I didn't expect her to survive so long and,with the benefit of hindsight, didn't need to. As for the rugby I'm massively surprised at what seems to have gone wrong at Leigh. As a Bulls supporter for nearly 50 years I thought I'd seen it all and it seems clear that things must change quickly at the LSV as the move downwards can soon gain impetus.
I wish you the best and hope you can stay positive on the difficult road ahead.

Positive stories are really important. It's tempting to trawl the internet for anything on GBM4. My advice is don't. One exception is the Macmillan forums which have a GBM4 group. I have found it really useful. My wife doesn't want to look at anything. If you think I can help you in any way then send me a PM.
