Yes your right I have just read DB statement on twitter this thread is under the wrong headline. Seemingly he wants Premier Sports to pay Leigh to show the game. Wonder if any other Championship clubs want paying or have Premier Sports paid Sky Sports who hold the rights to all Championship matches?

Think it would be better fan wise to play wire they would bring a lot more through the gates the pies don’t seem interested in this fixture anymore.

You can't have a TV operator advertising a game it intends to charge people to watch and make money without them having the decency to actually contact the club whose ground its at (and who could lose revenue because of it), a well run TV business should have discussed this with all parties affected by a TV game wherever its at.

I can fully understand Derek asking them to discuss financial arrangements.

As long as his dispute with Premier Sports does not result in the away fixture not being televised-Leigh fans would not be happy with him if that was to happen.

I personally couldn’t give a toss if the away game is on TV, and certainly shouldn’t be used as leverage to make sure DB bends over for a broadcaster that isn’t having any financial input

One away game doesn't make a season..I think most Leythers couldn't care less on the return fixture being televised or not. The point is that either Toronto/Premier have jumped the gun.

Fact-the Championship/Super league clubs handed their TV rights to the Rugby Football League to negotiate a deal collectively.

Fact-the Rugby Football League sold the rights to Sky Sports and Sporting Club Leigh Ltd like all other Championship/Super League clubs receive an amount of money out of that income.

Fact-Sporting Club Leigh Ltd like all other Championship/Super League clubs have given their individual TV rights to the Rugby Football League therefor DB cannot negotiate a private deal with Premier Sports neither can Premier approach DB to do a deal. Premier have done the deal through the Rugby Football League and Sky Sports and DB knows this.
