Keith,Leeds had a bad run last year with injuries finishing in the middle 8s, and the excuses that were coming out was the loss of 3 key players and a bad pre-season due to the inclement weather. They brought in Parcell for Segeyaro, and now they are 2nd in the league. We are suffering with injuries atm and it's hurting. Can't you see that?

Keith, towards the end of last season, Leeds, when they had players coming back from injury, they won 5 out of their last 6 SL games which included Wigan GF winners and Hull fc CC winners. We might not be of the same calibre as the the Leeds players, but we can ill afford to have so many players missing week in week out thriugh injuries or suspensions. It's crippling us.

The goal was SL and funded accordingly, surely you must see that??

Keith, to be fair we are in a position today due to having to spend what we can to try and sustain SL status, but we've not had much luck with injuries and suspensions on top of that. The academy will come subject to staying in SL next year.
The answer to your last question is no, but i also don't know who else was available.

| So , today ? , well again some dumb RL , 5hit or bust will not win games , applying pressure does as proven at Salford last week , the difference was 2 repeat sets before they scored the winning try
It's fairly simple , get to the line , try to score but don't run into touch ' if not scored by the last put the ball over the line with a decent chase , come back with a score or a repeat set
Then repeat , eventually you come back with a score , you also tire out the opposition forwards defensively , this causes them to drop off tackles allowing you to offload , 48 minutes till our 1 st offload today
We have ( had ) 3 quality hookers , so why is the one who is 36 yrs old playing 2 matches in 4 days ?
Yes we are suffering ATM , injuries are cutting deep , missed Hock and Acton today , again they are needed to tire out the opposition forwards
But keep the faith , no need to panic the target is now 30 , could have done without a Challenge cup match next week , pity we can't concede without playing
Chin up Neil , keep at it lad

Yup. Not his fault. A lot of the good things ARE his doing though. Bongser is sure that he's learnt the lessons of the past (so let's not dwell on the past - great to be champs years ago, but we ain't now) and will plan accordingly as circumstances dictate.
Do prefer milk in my cuppa also - lubricates my voice, Mr C. No need to lose yours (no sound on the forum). As to your sanity, you seem to have clung on longer than your mates.

Didn't see the game again today, Gubrats (wrong side o' th' 'ill for Easter) but sure that you're right in you assessment. We haven't got Jamie or Gaz though. We can't get an Easter weekend out of Mickey (as seems proven - any news btw). Leythe are on damage limitation. What the game plan WOULD be is immaterial now.
Bongser too supports NJ. CCup? What happens if we default? Answers on another thread. Need as much quality as possible on the paddock next time out in SL. Then see what the target is.

Hull kr sent a mainly academy team to Toulouse yesterday and gave a very good account of themselves, and in doing so rested first team players for this weeks cup tie at LSV.In my opinion all sl clubs should have to have an academy team or reserve team.We will never develop youngsters in this country without doing so

| It's a relatively simple fix for me. Stop letting Reynolds be so dominant in the halves. He should be backing up and taking the line on, not running the show. The game against Widnes showcased this, you have martyn ridyard on the pitch, who is the brains and the boot and gets us round the pitch. He was completely overshadowed by Reynolds trying to get involved in everything. Riddy touched the ball 2-3 times near their line and we scored. We are missing some massively influential figures at the minute, Paterson is the main one for me, hopefully we get a fully fit best 13 out on the field before the damage is done.

He's no good - the lad is huge but couldn't bust through a wet paper bag. He was crap at Wigan, he was crap here, and christ knows why Saints then signed him. Predictably, he was crap there as well.
He's now where he belongs, in NL1.[/quote]:White Backgrounds/Gonzo the Great.gif |

He was injured I believe. He appeared to hurt his foot/ankle at Salford and was limping quite heavily.
