| Quote: Harold Rigby Jnr "We can no longer wait for Willy Tonga to return before we are prepared to revert Mitch Brown to full back. It is imperative we fix up this full back position NOW.
I have advised against it previously but Higson needs to move to centre to allow it to happen. I don't even think Brown is cutting it in the centre so what's to lose ? Nothing at all at this stage.
Whilst we wait for Drinkwater to return, I am sorry but Reynolds will for me will need to be taken out the firing line. We badly need to freshen up and provide new impetus in the halves, and Ryan Hampshire must be given the interim 7 role and try and inject some creativity there.
That first 20 minuites were as bad as it comes but we don't need to invent the wheel here, just fix a few spokes.
It aint Rocket science.'"
Completely agree with this. Our left edge was all at sea today, with Brown who should be full back and vea who should be in the stands. I think either higson or Dawson can move into centre and be as effective as brown

I don't think Derek is daft enough to see what is happening right now isn't working, and I'm sure he will put it right.

Well personally I thought McNally showed what we could gave from him being at FB
Ridyard showing a bit more confidence tonight
Don't see Higson as a SL centre in a million years
Hampshire at 7 could be interesting

| Some poor performances today, why folk think Stewart is such a good player is beyond me,our halves were invisible, for most of the game, and apart from his try it was Groundhog Day for McNally in defence.

McNally defensively is shocking, you can get away with poortackles in the Championship Col, but aa you know not at this level. Positionally he was bobbins as well, to far up most of the time.
I take your point on Higson,I have said the same previously but again whats to lose because Brown is twice a SL full back than McNally and it pains me to say that.

| That first 22 minutes was absolutely awful. Yet, after that, our defence was back to the level of intensity of earlier in the season.
Improbable as it may seem, with a more balanced performance from the ref, we could have got very close to clawing back that 26 point deficit. We wouldn't have deserved anything after the dreadful start, but we do need to wise up a bit. Catalans were masters at slowing down the PTB, (when are we going to adopt the tactic of lying on and watching the ref for guidance, or having a player lie behind the player who is playing the ball?) they had a player down injured every time we put pressure on them, didn't concede a team warning after numerous consecutive penalties, were penalised but didn't receive a yellow card when holding down Crooks, (remember Crooks' sin binning against Widnes?) and didn't concede three penalties when in possession.
I know we were dreadful, early on, and the better team won, but I am getting increasingly frustrated by inconsistent refereeing!

| Alan , you have to remember we are a team of part time Championship players who have just moved up to full time , of course we won't be as quick as seasoned pro's and will try to slow the PTB to compensate
This IS how the refs see us
I just pray we don't see Mr Hicks or Campbell again this season

Yes , myself included , however you don't argue against my appraisal of the officials opinion of us , they see us as an inferior team full of Championship players , subliminally expecting us to try to cheat

| Salford received similar treatment in 2015 and 2016. In the end Marwan approached Silverwood to help and our penalty count has reduced considerably. I would suggest Leigh approach Joe Cobb or George Stokes - both local lads to help.

You must have wonderful insight to be able to see what another person is thinking. Even more impressive is to be able to understand their subliminal thoughts as they are themselves not able to recognise them.
You seem to have reverted to the good old excuse employed by fans the world over. It was the ref's fault as he was against us. In your case however you have added a new twist. He was against us even though he did not know it.

No argument there Steve. It's not so much the penalties we concede, or the treatment we get from some refs. I'm sure the vast majority of decisions against us are correct. It's the sheer inconsistency from ref to ref, or even from the same ref, (!!!) that incenses me. Why is it a penalty when we move off the mark, to play the ball, but the other team gets told to go back and play it again? Why is it that we get a team warning for a number of consecutive penalties, but the opposition doesn't? (they conceded four in the first two minutes!) Why is it that the opposition doesn't get a yellow card for holding down, after a break, but we do. Why do we get a yellow card for complaining, when the opposition doesn't? Why is it that we get players taken out, off the ball, but none of the officials seem to see it? Why is it that two of our players were up before the disciplinary last week, yet only one other, (Ferres) out of the 204 who took part in SL matches, were adjudged to have committed fouls serious enough to warrant disciplinary action? (I'm looking forward to seeing what Jamie Acton is cited for this week! )
Like I say, we are no angels, but neither are any of the other teams!

Keith, it was OUR fault we lost last night - just like last week. The opposition were miles better than us - well, for 22 minutes, anyway. We are getting battered by refs - justifiably probably, but it is infuriating when the other team gets away with exactly what we are being penalised for.
