To be fair, most SL grounds are silent apart from the odd chant here and there, we might not have many fans but we like to be noisy when we can and have a decent variety of songs, unlike our friends and your neighbours "ovur thur"

Wish that I had your confidence, VL. This fortnight break has been a killer. Roll on Saturday, after which we'll be better placed to judge where we stand. Then and only then can the topic of Hudds be discussed with any real zeal. First things first. KR will be a real tester.

In truth I'm not confident that we will beat HKR or Hudds, but I am confident that the lads/coaches and club are aiming for nothing less than that. As a fan I can ask no more.

That was kind of my point, some people genuinely can't go and others, much as they want to go, can't because of other commitments. I have no axe to grind with people who don't go, apart from the ones who then complain the club don't sign top players/coaches/spend XX amount, but it would be good for the players and fellow supporters to have a good turnout of fans.
Perfect example, last night, i asked 3 regulars how they are getting to Leigh, "we're not going, we're gonna watch it in the pub" when i asked why surely your money would be better spent buying a ticket through the club and going to support the team, "ah but it's man utd v man city as well"

Giants have a little band- just a drum, a trumpet, and the most important instrument of them all -a cowbell! Is it likely that the powers that be at Leigh will allow these into the ground- or will they be miserable gits like the stewards at Hull KR who confiscated them as you aren't allowed to enjoy yourself. (Hilarious watching them in vain trying to spot who had the cowbell that had managed to be "smuggled" in though- sadly the drum up the jumper and the trumpet down the trousers didn't work)

What I'd like to know is who the hell smuggled Aled flaming Jones into the CC Final last weekend? Low point of the whole day IMO.
